News is that former commando and former chief of army staff and former dictator and former president Pervez Musharraf has become once again very active behind the scene and he intends to take hold of the reigns of a refurbished PML-Q after 18 or so months. President of Pakistan can only take part in politics after the two years of leaving his post.

In these 18 months Musharraf intends to change over the leadership and pillars of PML-Q, his brainchild which propped him successfully during his rule and when the time came for facing the brunt, it was PML-Q which was quashed and routed and Musharraf remained there well after the elections and only went out when the US wanted him to do so to play down the anger of Pakistanis.  Musharraf wants to now get rid of Chaudhary brothers of Gujrat along with many prominent names of PML-Q. He is considering the name of either Mushahid Hussain Syed or Sumaira Malik to lead the PML-Q until he himself comes after these months. Meanwhile the invisible hands will keep on defaming the Zardari administration, and when the 18 months will expire the ground will be leveled for Musharraf’s entry.

The recent meeting between Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari also discussed this issue, and they both sensed the danger. They both know very well about such conspiracies and have been bitten by them multiple times. It was good of both of them to come closer, but Zardari also has to do more to restore his trust and he must also act upon his rhetoric. With judges restored, NRO revoked, Zardari’s stature will only rise and will shut the door for conspiracies, otherwise this NRO will become the curse for him.
