Why cant you look at various other things like the culture we share, the love for art we share, etc. these will help us in bring people together rather than separating them based on religion and country.

one - in the 1970 general elections, awami league under mujib ur rehman came to a majority (it won 170 out of 320 seats, if my memory serves me right). PPP & other parties did not win enough seats to even form a coalition majority.Ergo, it shud have formed the govt.

two - this however was not acceptable to gen yahya khan, the then dictator. he put mujib under house arrest & sent gen tikka khan to east pak to quench the rebellious bengali muslims of awami league. mujib escaped & established provincial office in calcutta (now kolkatta) in india.

three - due to the atrocities of pak army in east pakistan, bengali muslims fled to india (assam, meghalaya, tripura, etc). this influx of refugees became over 2m by 1971.

four - all appeals to pak were of no use. inida became impatient. as a result, 1971 war took place leading to dismemberment of pak & creation of bangladesh (erstwhile east pak). mujib became the first PM (or president maybe).

five - RAW did play a major role in supporting awami league by forming mukti bahini.mainly of bengali muslims of east pakistan. Indian army did train this mukti bahini & later in the war mukti bahini did support indian army operations.

six - in war all the elements of a nation’s power are used to achieve victory, NKVD in WW 2 by the then USSR, Gestapo by germany, OSS by USA, MI by UK, etc. therefore there is nothing wrong/new in it.

these are the facts otherwise & pertaining to the 1971 war. we can paint these facts in various hues as per our own leanings & ideologies etc. but these facts remain.

RAW like any other spy agency like (erstwhile) KGB, Stassi, ISI, CIA, mossad, boss, khad, etc has its various branches to deal with various facets like pak, china, elint, etc etc. these are normal for any spy agency.

some other facts -

one - all agencies work for the interest of their own nations as per the political dictats.

two - many of their actions are clandestine/covert & are denied if found out. unless some person like mitrokhan can come out in the open (he wrote mitrokhan archives - a book about KGB operations), we will never come to know the truth unless we are involved in it.

three - so nobody can gainsay that any one agency is holier than thou. we all are equally good or bad.

four - all such agencies carry out such activities, keeping their respective interests in mind. these interests are of course debatable.

ergo, this article does not in any way bring out anything new.

other things like “sikkimisation of nepal” etc & other such ideas mentioned in the article are at best laughable unless supported by well researched books & papers. if the author could please tell us the source of these articles, it will be helpful to laymen like me who would want to know more about such topics.

also, let us not mix rhetoric with facts. if we can have intellectual discussions based on facts in this blog, i would love that. there is no point in india bashing or pak bashing etc. let truth prevail.

Recently I have started to read indian and pakistani blogs to understand how they think. And I must say, I am disappointed with the level of thought of you pakistani people, there are some sane voices but in general you guys don’t see beyond Islam and Kuran. And you guys have learned the art of cooking up conspiracy theories.

Come out of you cave and you will see ‘human beings’ live in this planet not only proud ‘pakistani muslims’.

Author completely DISREGARDS the reasons Why bengalis BECAME ANGRY AND FED-UP with west Pakistani rule.

1> Instability and Chaos in India’s neighborhood will create MANY PROBLEMS FOR INDIA itself.
Refugee problem, infiltration problem, threat of demographic changes and many other direct or indirect problems will be FACED BY INDIA.

@@ 2>> Regarding Pakistan, Pakistani Punjab and Sindh provinces act as a BUFFER between India and the WILD WILD WEST of South Asia. Therefore, India WILL WANT stability in Pakistani Punjab and Sindh for THE SECURITY OF INDIA itself.

3> India SUPPORTED Pakistan’s IMF loan. Because India WANTS STABILITY in Pakistan, at least in Pakistani Punjab and Sindh. .

4>> Talibanisation of a NUCLEAR ARMED Pakistan is AGAINST THE INTEREST of India .India also has 150 million Muslim population .Talibanisation of Pak may SPILL OVER into india . Therefore , there is NO QUESTION of Indian support for them

As per author, RAW is everywhere in SOUTH ASIA.

Curiously NOT A SINGLE RAW AGENT gets caught ever.

I dont remember a single RAW agent getting caught in recent times.

When we are making statements on some agency or organization we need to support it with proof. Do you have any of those?

When Indians talk about ISI is this, ISI is that, it is all talks as no one has any proof against it to prove things.

My request is simple, we all know that both the countries are suffering, then why to make it suffer more. Why cant we find a way to lessen this suffering and pain? Why cant we unite and remove all the differences?

Guys love is the only thing that can make both countries prosper.
