Qazi’s Dharna : Apex of Hypocrisy

By Salman Mugsi • May 20th, 2009 • Category: Politics • 13 Comments

While Pakistan Army is locked with Taliban in fierce battle in the Malakand Agency, especially in the Swat region, someof the hypocrites have started raising hell just to demoralize the nation and to show their inner filth and to just blackmail the government to get more attention and the perks and privileges.

There are routine fierce clashes in the Taliban-held town of Matta, as well as in Kanju, which is a short distance from Mingora, with four soldiers and 14 insurgents killed in the two towns. Officers and Jawans of Pakistan Army are tasting martyrdom daily, and yet people like Qazi Hussain Ahmad are performing Dharnas.

Qazi Hussain Ahmad, the ex-chief of Jamat-e-Islami has announced a 3-day sit-in in the Melody chowk Islamabad against the military operation in Swat. Where was this idito and his clowns, when there was no military operation and government was trying to appease the Taliban by dialogues, deals and accords? Not even once Qazi or his idiots went to Swat or talked with the Sufi Muhammad or Fazlullah. They remained silent.

Now just to record their attention they are raising hell. This is the time when they should be helping the IDPs and not creating fissures and fuss. But they have always disappointed the nation.

  1. Salman,

That because you allow people like these do these kind of things. Had you and people in your country controlled the involvement of religion in politics and daily life this would not have happened.

  2. Adi,
Does our religion propagate this type of politics?. No, never…. His actions have nothing to do with religion. This is sheer hypocricy. These people are using religion and thier religious attire to fool the masses who are illetrate, religious minded and tend to fall prey to any religious gimmick.
We must not allow these people to take control of our lives and affairs of our country.
We need a totally different band of able political leaders who are sincere, honest, dedicated and work with a vision. We must look around, pick such people and encourage them to come forward. We must get rid of these stale feudals and moulvis who only play dirty pollitics for their interest.

  3. Nasir,

It is not the religion that I am talking about, but the people who are from there, like the Maulana or Mullahs or the Qazi’s should not be let to get into politics and should not be encouraged.

  4. Adi,
    Yes, that’s totally right.
Good religious people never think of entering Pakistan’s or for that matter any politics at all.
It is those hypocrites like Qazi Hussain and his religious coterie who opt to use religion for their lust of power, which has eluded them so far.

  5. Jamaat-e-Islami under maudoodi, an Islamic scholar was created by British to counter the genuine demands of Pakistanies under Quaid-e-Azam by using religion as opium of masses.Later it was used by the Pakistani state to serve its ends especially the erstwhile military rulers.
There is a message in this for Pakistani civilian rulers.Read Prof Mazari also.Taliban has support right at the top. There will not be operation against them in FATA at any cost whatever Americans can do,givebribe or threaten

  6. Adi
Qazi like people are existing in our culture for the politics of establishment. He did his job in very good manner as transform the secular state of Jinnah is now recognized as state of extremist and fanatics in international community. His dharna is actually symbol of unification of his offspring called as talibans and to also his voters who are residents of Swat. These voters are under dual attack neither state is giving them mercy nor talibans have any sympathies for them so at this time it moral support of once their god father in form of such protest might help them to reduce their agony .This way they might safe guard their votes for coming mid tern elections.
Along with him I will also request Gen naseer ullah Babar and Gen mehmod ahmed to kindly join him in his dharna and pay the debit of their deadly mistakes in the form of such massive human destruction that had not been noted in history of swat for the last century.

  7. We are all too well aware of Qazi and his hypocrite party men. He doesn’t have much support. As President Musharraf once said, these Mullahs appear to be caught in a time warp. They are always behind time. They were the ones who opposed the creation of Pakistan in 1947 and sided with the Congress. They were the ones who declared our great leader Quaid-e-Azam Jinnah, a ‘Kafir’. So we don’t much care about these Mullahs. God-Willing the Taliban Terrorists will be wiped out from all the hills and valleys of our sacred land.

The greater source of concern are extremist sympathizers, in the garb of columnists, the likes of the verbose pseudo-intellectual Irfan Siddiqui. Such creatures often pop up on our tv screens, on talk shows, blame our friend and ally the US for everything, and defend the evil crimes of Terrorists . These traitors must be tried for treason and put in front of a firing squad!

    LONG LIVE PAKISTAN!

  8. yes our all problems would be solved if we put qazi, fazalurrehaman, zardari, altaf husain, and sharif in front of firing squad.Khas kum jehan pak along with all serving and retired generals for last 10 years.

  9. Nazia:
    Don’t be that misanthropic!

Quaid Altaf Hussain Bhai, President Zardari, Sharifs etc are mainstream popular politicians, who are all democrats.

On the contrary Extremist Mullahs are terrorist sympathizers, traitors who openly oppose democratic culture!

  10. Hi nazia,
Firing squad!!!!!!!!You are in Democracy and learn the art of democracy. You have to educate common people and not in blogs. You have to tell them how bad are these guys all these years.Altaf hussaein is considered saviour by sindhies and Mohajirs of karachi. That is democracy.Majority opinion.

  11. Johann
thanks for your guidance but my spontaneous reply related to firing squad is linked with comment 7or for those people tried to force the unseen qualities of their runaway leadership on us without any reason and logics When ever we tried to discuss with them in positive manners ,discussion always ends in extreme abusive environment.
It is also surprise for me that you consider altaf Hussain saviour of sind or karachi people as he himself couldnt get SOPs for his safe arrival in his constituency for last 18 years .In these 18 years , mqm has state control for more than 15 years so how you define his way of leading a leaderless resistance in your democratic vision.
I really never countered these mqm extremist as I personally didnt see their unlawful acts for bullying the karachi people.I have seen by myself how they get ” majority opinion” under state and rangers protections.Deficiencies in vote banks were made up using power of gun so if such kind of democracy you suggest for us then sorry we cant swallow this fly on the name of democracy.
As long as military will play role in our governing system we will not trust this majority’s opinion on us. our ISI was fully involved in such opinions.Rigging under state machinery is common practice as our elections commission is not an independent body like India that might be able to conduct free or fair elections upto some extent. Our representatives wanted by military establishment gets ID machines at their residence before elections so in our history usually blue boys of army mafia get position in our parliaments.
Zardari is an other example of such rigging the public opinion.Have you ever seen such kind of democratic elected president whose country is in state of war but he is spending his time in world tours and then justify his sheer negligence with extreme obstinate attitude. These are fake colours of democracy but surely can be removed through actual spirit of democracy.

  12. @Nazia: Are u out of ur mind?

  13. no aqeela certainly not, I live always in my mind as per my experience.
