PTCL Evo PCMCIA Card

By Guest Blogger • Mar 8th, 2010 • Category: Technology • 4 Comments

As for all of you who are wondering about the title i.e. what on earth is an Evo PCMCIA card? Allow me to tell you that it is Aladdin’s magic carpet which will take you around the world on a magic ride. PTCL Evo Rocks! Not really ….. Not without an Evo PCMCIA Card. But if you are lucky enough to have a PCMCIA slot in your internet will fly with Evo!
PTCL reduced the price of PCMCIA to Rs.999 only … I remember it used to Rs.6000. OMG!!! that is a drastic reduction in price for a great product! Reason why I say is I am getting average download speed of 1100 Kilobits per second or 137 Kilo Bytes.

PCMCIA slot has been replaced in new laptops by the Express Slot however quite a handful of laptops available in the market still come with a PCMCIA Slot. Take for example my Toshiba Satellite M200 Notebook.  A fancy looking machine; great performance and comes with a PCMCIA slot. Other options are usually older models such as of Dell Latitude D6×0 series but if your primary objective is to get online and browse the internet ….. PTCL Evo PCMCIA Card is just the thing.

Why to get a Evo PCMCIA Card?
·         Rs.999 only.
·         Downloads are truly fast … my best speed was 2116 Kbps or 264.5 Kilo bytes per second. Imagine downloading a 1 MB file in about 4 or 5 seconds.
·         Amazing robust device.
·         Much better signal receive strength.
·         Super-fast internet browsing and video streaming.
·         Much faster internet speed as compared to USB device.
·         All packages of PTCL Evo work on the PCMCIA card.
·         Rumor is Evo is coming out with volume based package. Once there price are expected to really come down.
·         Stand by option …. Get PCMCIA card on prepaid package and keep it as standby if other connections go down.

You can buy the PCMCIA card at any PTCL One Stop Shop for Rs.999 only.

True Bud, But It also adds the convenience of portability and you can connect it to either your laptop or PC within a matter of seconds, but then again its a trade-off and you have the option of saving Rs. or trading it for super flexibility :D
