Nazia,

It is not only the govt. who is responsible for the security of the people it govern, but the responsibility also lies with the citizens also. If you notice anything that is not proper do you report it to police, I guess you don't do that.

Take a simple example, when we traveling in public transport buses, we keep looking outside the window, rather than that we could look at the people sitting next to us, under our seats, etc. These things needs to be done by us, but we don't do it.

All the things cannot be done by govt., we are not a small country, we need to take a few responsibilities to protect ourselves.

I hope you are understanding, what I am trying to say.

it is not India only but all democratic countries who faced the worst terror attacks are showing same picture as there army and law enforcing agencies take responsibility of protection of their citizens. If you enter NY through JFK then you would be afraid to see soldiers with highly sophisticated weapons roaming in and out of airport specially in terminal 4 where usually Asian flights arrive.Same scene is witnessed in Paris downtown area and near eiffel tower.UK tube station also showing same scene as one enters in any kind of war area.So there is no need to criticize on measure taken up by democratic governments.American kicked out Bush and bring new team, UK people ousted tony blair before time and same thing surely be done to present Indian govt who couldnt provide security to his citizens. The worst thing is happening in Muslim countries as in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and gaza where failed polices are as usual continuing for strengthening corrupt people in government. In those countries after each terrorist attack the steps/actions are taken to protect the ruling group and people are left insecure and more vulnerable to those attacks.

"Price India is Paying for Tension"

Our way of life REMAIN INTACT.

Recently 43,000 people PARTICIPATED IN MUMBAI MARATHON.

Without ANY FEAR.

India organized INDIA-ENGLAND TEST SERIES AFTER THE ATTACK.

ATP CHENNAI OPEN happened after the terror attack.

@@@@ONE QUESTION:

Why A COMPLETE ABSENCE of massive, large scale protest rallies (like the ones against israel) in Pakistan against taliban considering there actions WITHIN PAKISTAN???Kindly answer.

Your guess is as good as mine.

Hassan,

The scenario of India has changed because of the incident that took place on 26th Nov. Had your govt. accepted the involvement of people from Pakistan and terrorist organization running on its soil, this situation would not have happened.

Yes people are scared to go out, they are scared that if another lot of people might come and start killing again.

The threat to life is always the biggest threat of all. You could have understood this if it would have happened in your city, the story would not have been return over here in this way.

Regarding the terror attacks that you face in your country, we the people in India also face them. Earlier during 1993 blasts people were really scared to get out of their houses, but now after a blasts there will be tension for few hours and things get back to normal the very next day.

Hassan, I am not able to understand that everybody in Pakistan who rights on this blog say that India should stop escalating tension and get back to sanity, and things like that. Can I ask you one question, have you people ever thought about the terror camps that operate in Pakistan and these people openly collect fund in your cities without any sort of problems from the law and order governance bodies.

Hassan we are not saying that Pakistan is bad or all the people in Pakistan are bad, we are only saying that the people who are supporting terror please eradicate them.

If you think this demand is insane, then India is insane.

Pakistan is also suffering due to the tension as well as terrorism in the country. People cannot even pray in the mosque without police guard outside. One wonder where it should lead to as it is not even safe praying in mosque in a Muslim country.

Terrorists only use the relegion as their sheild otherwise they are out there to dictate their own agenda of terror. So it is not just India, Pakistan is also paying the price.
