President Zardari’s Vision Abroad
By Mazhar Chaudry • Sep 24th, 2009 • Category: Politics • 3 CommentsLondoners are quite impressed after hearing the lectures of President Asif Ali Zardari and though as by nature Mr. Zardari is humble and meek and shy, he says that his late wife could have made much better speeches, he is not doing any lesser by any standards.
He is presenting the case of his people immaculately and he is stressing on trade and not on aid. Contrary to what media says, President Zardar is not on some sort of begging mission, rather he is attempting gain advantage for the Pakistani people from every niche possible. He is trying to mend ways with the Western powers, but also doing his every bit to get trade and commerce towards Pakistan. His flawless approach has enabled the Pakistani missions to perform far much better these days.
In a a keynote lecture at the International Institute of Strategic Studies (IISS) on ‘Pakistan: strategic challenges and opportunities’, President of Pakistan said,”Pakistan was paying the price for the follies committed by the world in Afghanistan by signing out in hurry. The presence of millions of drug addicts in Pakistan, rampant heroin and arms culture, religious terrorism and nearly three million refugees were a proof of what Pakistan was putting up with as a consequence of a deliberate war that has left ruins in its wake.”

$1.5 billion of our looted wealth would be enough to hire a good public speaking coach
Wow Mazhar you’re right he’s as good as the late Bibi. I’ ma big fan of his, as are you. I’m also on their payroll as are you. I go around with “jiyala” tattooed to my thigh, as do you. I sold my loyalties to the highest bidder the day Bibi was assassinated, as did you.
Glad to see an appreciative post of Zardari’s very realistic efforts and sacrifices for the survival of Pakistan. Another interesting commentary can be found at:

Moreover, comments like that of Mani Gilani’s serve for nothing but to remind us how low the standards for intelligence and education have fallen, and how completely propaganda-based society’s knowledge of politics has become, especially due to people like Shahid Masood’s article on the 24th of September 2009 on Zardari’s removal from office. He should be ashamed and so should his so-called supporters.
No doubt President Zardari’s tours are always fruitful and timely as they gave an opportunity to elucidate many issues and explain apprehensions and misunderstandings. There were many apprehensions which were removed in bilateral talks. Good thing about President Zardari’s visits is this that he never went for aid rather he stress on trade sector which is more than good for people of Pakistan. He always asked International Community to recognise Pakistan’s role in war against terror and support it. He impressed people during his lecture in London. Economy is getting better and better everyday due to his visit, foreign investors are taking interest.
