PPP MQM Tamasha in Karachi

By Salman Mugsi • Feb 2nd, 2010 • Category: Politics • 2 Comments

Once again Pakistan’s biggest city is in the grip of mysterious murders. Police, rangers and other law enforcement agencies are nowhere to be seen. Just within one week, more than 100 people have been killed. In the last 24 hours, more than 50 people have been killed.

Who is being killed and by whom. It all started from the Qasba Colony when one poor person was killed. All the victims are poor people. Laborers, masons, drivers and other lower middle class people are among the victims. Orangi town, Liaquatabad, Qasba Colony are among the worst hit areas.

PPP is pointing fingers at the MQM and the MQM is accusing the PPP. Actually both are killing each other. It’s all power game. Electronic media is also terrified and they are not naming the names. Most of the killings are done by the MQM, and that is why the ministers of PPP at the provincial level got carried away and blasted the MQM, and as usual MQM acted as “chor machai shor.”

President Zardari is only worried about his own survival, and that is why he is ignoring the murder streak in the Karachi. Since the start of this coalition government, this has become the norm. The only sufferers are the Karachiites.
