PPP is a Fighter

By Umer Toor • Dec 26th, 2009 • Category: Politics • 8 Comments

Pakistan People’s Party has always faced the thunderous dictators, civilian oppressors, judicial murderers and bloody bureaucrats. Pakistan People’s Party is the best thing ever happened to the Pakistan as it is the tangible symbol of unity for the federation, despite of the fact that some nefarious elements always try to confine this greatest party just to one province.

PPP has always worked against the dictatorship and it’s secular (that is not to be read as unIslamic) stance over the issues within the national ambit has always garnered support from all across the country and people from all walks of life have always rallied behind the leaders of this party. From Zulfikar Bhutto to Benazir Bhutto to Zardari Bhutto, PPP is the paragon of democracy.

PPP is treated as opposition even when they are in the government. This time is no exception but as always PPP is resolved to face the non-issues, which are raised with the aim to divert the focus of the government from implementing people-friendly policies and measures to improve the life of the common man.

It is the only political party which gave the 1973 Constitution to Pakistan. It’s Jiyala leaders have continued their untired struggle for a long time within the boundaries of law. Rest assured they will also keep alive the legacy of democracy in a democratic way and the rainy frogs won’t be able to derail march of democracy.

  1. oh poo pooo….go and blow your trumpet elsewhere !

  2. I entirely agree. The PPP is the best party we have.I hope the conspiracy hatched by the judiciary, some hidden forces and a section of the media fails otherwise Pakistan could find itself in even greater trouble.

  3. Peoples Party is also the one which was partly (if not entirely) responsible to split Pakistan into two, and is the single most corrupt party in history of Pakistan. And on those accounts only, it is the worst thing ever that happened to Pakistan. Sorry to deflate your baloon!

  4. Fully agree with the Post Umar, well done. PPP has again proven that it is the only party seeking change, and is still anti-establishment party.

@3, dear u think u have deflated the baloon, infact PPP is the baloon with which Pakistan is attached. This baloon is not for fun.

Read the papers of the years of 1969-74, especially Jang and Hamood-u-Rehman Commision Report and u would come to know who is responsible for the fall of Dhaka. This Jang group, among others, also is responsible for creating hatred.

  5. I think the problem lies in blatant support of both ends. Neither PPP has been a complete angel neither it has been the worst devil around. I have been a staunch supporter of PPP and still think that Mr. Bhutto was the best of all the lot who ruled us but that doesn’t change the fact that the current leadership of the party seems incapable of performing.

I admit the sacrifices but we cannot let PPP bask in the shadows of past glories. We need new and better leadership. If PPP can provide such leadership, let them serve the nation otherwise make way for others.

  6. PPP lost all it’s respect in my eyes when it became a party to NRO and I had to believe that all those corruption allegations were true unfortunately.

  7. At this moment PPP is looking like not more than group of some quarrelsome ladies like fauzi whab, aishq awan, sharmeela farooqi, shazia maree etc under the leadership of punjab the puthar(son) raja .
riaz. All reliable and reasonable sources are trying to vanish from the scenes as people and media have become too much hostile to PPP representatives.
Such kind of incompetent opportunists are not called fighters but resembling like king’s men which are trying their best to put humpty dumpty(zardari) back again.

  8. We have enough of the fighters. We need a party who is ready to serve the Illitrate nation without prejudice. And in a party we need a REAL LEADER who can guide the Illitrate Nation to the right path, where poor and Illitrate can find sense of belonging.
