On Jan 21, 2009 he scored 296 runs not out.

He is also the Captain of National Bank.
Only one batsman from the top 20 best batsman in Quaid-e-Azam trophy so far had been selected.
Omission of young dynamic player Fawad Alam is unfortunate. Same strategic was implement during assigning contracts. Faisal Iqbal nephew of current Director of PCB Javed Miandad had given contract without assuring his place in cricket team.
On other hand Players like Fawad Alam, Khalid Latif, Khurrum Manzoor, Asim Kamal, Yasir Hamid had been ignored again.
Performance and attitude of some senior players is not satisfactory.
But why are they always with the team?
Is it the merit?
Once again wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal is back in the team. He was out from the team due to his bad performance. Recently he played IPL and his performance was once again unsatisfactory.
I wonder what is the criterion for selectors to bring people like him back.
Other victims of the selection committee are Asim Kamal, Anwar Ali, Nomanullah and Sohail Khan who also performed well in domestic cricket.
Anwar Ali is the hero of the under-19 World Cup winning team.
He never got a chance. Nomaullah was the highest runs maker in the last Quaid-i-Azam trophy tournament. But he never got any proper chance.
He played single one day match and captain sent him on number 7 position in last few overs.
I remember when the new selection committee resumed its current responsibilities, chief selector Abdul Qadir said in his interview: “In future everything will be based on merit.”
Is it merit?
Now the question is where are the best batsmen and highest wicket takers in the Quaid’s trophy?
The selectors should be questioned.

We have the same inexplicable selections and undeserved awarding of the lucrative contracts.Doubtless, Sri Lankan fans will have the same questions. I guess it is a sub-continent trait.
Importantly ex cricketer and politician Imran Khan who considers him self man of justice and champion of civil rights is quite again for Fawad Alam, Asim Kamal, Yasir Hamid and Khalid Latif etc.
This is called Hypocrisy.
Imran Khan is the king of Hypocrisy.
Why heroes of justice movement are quite on this selection?
It is very interesting to see that majority of the deserving candidates who are ignored by PCB belongs to Karachi. Also agree with Nadeem Qazi, why this hypocrate Imran Khan not standing up for the cricketes facing unfair selection ?
