Political Suicide Bombers
By Dr. Hassan Isfahani • Nov 23rd, 2009 • Category: Politics • 4 CommentsI am genuinely tired of all the dirt sprayed all over the place in the recent days as the NRO genie comes out of the bottle and now it seems that no one is any angel any more. Those who were earlier refuting their names in the list and those who were earlier bashing and slamming the corruption of all kinds are now finding themselves in a tight jam, as their names are topping the lists.
That and this list also contains very comprehensively as who did what and when.
But it seems that nobody in the list is much committed to get on the right path and instead of going out for the rectifying measures and clearing their conscience and returning what they looted, they are still hard at work as how to get away with it. Almost all of them are looking resolute enough to not to resign and to come clear of this mess with their looted wealth intact.
Starting from the President and ending upon the ministers and the lower leadership, everyone seems to have joined the kamikaze party and they are heading towards total disaster as they are trying to save NRO benefits which is highly abhorred by the public and is sure to taint the good name of country and will set a horrible precedence.

The decree awarded in shape of National Reconciliation Ordinanace by previous government was to provide a general amnesty to all such personals who have committed crimes like killing of political rivals and looting n plundering the national funds and assets and give them free sailing.
Having pardoned some 7000 + of them all; they were allowed to contest the elections and to go by their normal life. Most of them are now in power and holding various ministries’ and other high positions.
If the present government or the courts consciously think that above decree of NRO was not in order then they should defunct the NRO– once for all and set a ‘National Swift Functioning Tribunal’ to consider all such cases.
It will be required that all these personal are removed from their posts——- what ever it may be and send them off duty till such time that Tribunal is not satisfied. People found culprits be sent out to be dealtwith by courts as per national laws and others be set free and be allowed to resume their duties.
But these suicide bombers don’t perish and that is the bad part.
When we talk of a ‘National Reconciliation Order’ it means that a corrupt nation was made to realize that it was at fault and that it bow down to repent its past sins and openly confessed and admitted that although they robbed, they plundered but from now on, they will no more indulge in any such business in the future….and although they had gone astray but promise that they will be loyal and faithful to country that they it the most.
The history should be counting this sort of NRO as the stepping stone in the life of people–that after this the days dawned were different.
But have we got all that?
The answer may be Big Nay.
