PML-N Won NA-123; Will They Appear Tomorrow in NA-123?

By Rohail Butt • Mar 10th, 2010 • Category: Politics • 2 Comments

If you have visited the NA-123 constituency of the Lahore 6 yesterday, you might have noticed a pleasant change in the shape of cleaned roads, no garbage, traffic police on duties, painted sign boards, flowing severage, electricity intact, while the roadwork restored.

If you will visit NA-123 constituency of the Lahore 6 tomorrow, you will not be surprised and it will be business as usual. Dirty, muddy, dung-littered roads with newly formed bumps, jammed traffic, abusing police, no utility services, and a silent suffering wait for the next elections.

Oh, today is the election day, and you may celebrate because your vote has made PML-N once again victorious from this constituency.

But perhaps this time they will suprise us? Who knows?

  1. i have read ur report and unfortunately its biosed and base less. As a reporter you shouldnt mention “because u have voted pmln again” or somthing like that. The problem with pakistani media is that they start taking sides and criticise govts / parties based on their personal vendetta.

  2. Wow good post. This is so common that whenever there are elections the electricity problem disappears, the prices somehow come low for a few months on the basics. NA-123 you rightly say so! I have visited the Mughal Pura area and it is not very pleasant but a few days ago when I was there they had really cleaned it up due to elections. But now that they are over everything will go back to normal! Politicians really should come out honest because it is about time our country thrives out of extremism and this shaky economy.
