PMA Rally in Quetta, Balochistan.

Quetta: The abduction, target killing, car snatching on gun point and other crimes are on their peak, nobody is safe. The main highways of the province and cities around are disturbed. Day before yesterday Zakaria Achakzai a truck driver was killed on the spot near the area of Wadh, four hindo traders are kidnapped for ransom from the Qalat city, professor Dr.Ghulam Rasool Kakar was abducted from the middle of Quetta city during the light day by unknown people, these are only the cases of recent days. Baluchistan
the largest province of Pakistan, full of natural resources is having no
writ of government even in the capital city of Quetta.

Doctors are on strike for the release of their abducted colleague Dr. Ghulam Rasool Kakar, their strike is having very hard form this time, the most populated city of 3 Million people is having all of its hospitals, OPDs and even causality and emergency centers closed. Every day thousands of people poor and needy people visit the locked health centers. On the other side the provincial government of Baluchistan and the security forces and law enforcement agencies haven’t got any group or individual involve in the crimes, abductions and target killing, neither the abducted ones are tried to be released. “Our strike is not just for the doctors who are abducted, we are demanding the release and safety of all the people from every walk of life, whether they are the hindoes from Qalat or drivers from Chaman”, Dr. Sultan Tareen the president of Pakistan Medical Association
Baluchistan. He added further, “Our strike will be continuing till the release of kidnapped doctors and others”.

A grand rally of Pakistan Medical Association, Political Parties, Lawyers,Civil Society, Students and children left from Sandman Civil Hospital Quetta, where hundreds of participants were holding play cards, banners pasted with the slogans for the release of abducted doctor and others, safety for the people of the province, they chanted against the government and law-enforcement agencies not encountering the illicit criminals. “The
current government and some of its ministers are having their own gangs of abduction, intelligence agencies of the country are supporting and backing all of the groups involved in abduction, target killing and car snatching”, said Nasrullah Zairi the provincial deputy secretary of Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party while addressing to the rally of Pakistan Medical Association.

“The interior minister of the province once claimed some of the ministers of Baluchistan Government having gangs involved in the abduction of people for ransom”, he added further.

The province specially the capital city of Baluchistan faces rocket attacks, target killing, abduction of people from every walk of life on daily basis. Two days ago 3 rockets fired on Quetta city hit different buildings and one on main road did not get any causality due to breakfast time of holly Ramadan month.
