Playing with Balochistan
By Tazeen • Feb 27th, 2012 • Category: Politics • 3 CommentsThe general impression about the PPP government is that they are corrupt. I would say that their corruptions comes at the end, and their biggest hallmark is their incompetency. All of them, every single one of them in the regime is incompetent, highly unsuitable for the job, extremely inappropriate for the portfolios and responsibilities they hold from top to bottom.
We have seen this procession of incompetency for the last four plus years. Their corruption stories are everywhere, but there is little mention of their incompetency. For instance; what qualification, experience, skill, background and achievements Naveed Qamar has in realm of water and power? He should be the last person to manage WAPDA in Pakistan but there he is, and we know what the result is.
Same goes for all the other ministries and public outfits. We know how Yousaf Gilani appointed a nightclub manager and one of his illiterate friend as head of two important institutions. The devastation in PIA, Railways, Steel Mills, NICL, all of ministeries and advisories, WAPDA, SNGPL, and everywhere is due to the wrong people managing the things, and that’s an idea breeding ground for corruption.
We have also seen lip service, fake and half-heart attempts at Balochistan issues. Nobody trusts Rehman Malik anywhere in Pakistan and especially in Balochistan, and yet he is Aristotle for the PPP government for solving that issue. People of Balochistan abhors the man and its quite painful when he talks about the issue. All of them are senseless geckos. Couple of them say that a general amnesty has been given to the Baloch leaders and then others deny it. Then a press release comes out in endorsing that.
Now we can very well understand why the Pakistan was dismembered in the 1971 when there was a PPP government in place. They are doing the same now which they did some 40 years ago, which means they are doing nothing, and just playing for the gallery, passing time, amassing wealth, pandering to the establishment, and eying yet another term.
Corruption is by-product of incompetency of PPP. And oh, are the two men at the top deserve to be the president and premier of the Pakistan?

@Tazeen
I think the title of your article is misleading because you have not touched on that issue in your write-up.
””’And oh, are the two men at the top deserve to be the president and premier of the Pakistan?””
Not even by the wildest stretch of the coarsest imagination! If it weren’t for NRO, both would have been in jail. Now Musa Gillanis , Bilawal Zardaris and Moonis Elahi are preparing to take over as if they’ve a birth right to rule. Check out the bogus bi-election results. Don’t know what would it take to wake people up from their slumber. No messiah would descend to do the needful for us.
Thanks TBP, issue rectified
Hi Tazeen. It is the people of Pakistan who have elected these leaders. If they are not doing a good job, one has to wait for one more year to elect Imran Khan the darling of intellectuals and establishment, nawaz or Musharaff.
The present Government is not responsible for the Balochistan mess and it is doing its best to solve the problem created by Musharaff.
