Places to Visit in Summer 2012

With the summer vacations just around the corner, a lot of people especially kids are looking for ways to make the most of these few special weeks of leisure and fun. After a year of studies and homeworks, summer is the only time when kids and teenagers can fold their uniforms and get in to comfortable jeans and flip-flops.

A summer vacation may last only 2 months but if planned right can add up to a bundle of quality time spent with your family and friends at exotic and fun-filled places. For starters it’s necessary to make a schedule and plan out the whole vacation to suit everyone at home. Then it’s vital to pick spots which are sure to get everyone involved and looking forward to the trips. You can start off by going to amusement parks and water parks, where the whole family can spend the day with lots of rides to enjoy. Throw in a couple of educational trips like a trip to the national park or the zoo. Try to have your nights planned out as well as your days, as it could be fun to take your family in their pajamas to Cinepax for a movie night. Planning a family outing with barbeques and games with your cousins, aunts and uncles could also make out as a very fun day and also bring the whole clan together.

Summer vacations are not only limited to outdoor fun but you can also enjoy at home by starting home-projects, like building a tree-house in your backyard, or learning a new skill such as cooking or gardening which can be done right at your home. In the unlimited time a person has in the summer it’s quite easy to lay down with a good book and a cup of your favorite drink to enjoy the lazy afternoons in the lawn.

In my last summer I had planned several treasure hunts with my friends on the beach, which turned out to be super-fun as becoming a pirate and using maps to navigate would get really wild as there were other “pirates” looking for the lost treasures. The stay at sea side is a package deal when it comes to fun, as there is a lot more than just beach volley ball to play. You can go to the nearby shops and restaurants, visit lighthouses and enjoy the picturesque friendly atmosphere.

So this year when planning your summer make sure you don’t forget to add things off this list
