Everyone in the family and outside try to enforce its authority over the girls. Girl play role of daughter, wife, mother, and sister and yet she is considered inferior and her role is always downplayed.
If girl tries to support her family or herself, she is ridiculed and laughed away. Still, the “kamai” earning of the girl is considered shameful in many quarters of our society. In offices and in business, girls are harrassed, and every body take them as thing of sex. Just take female bloggers, we cannot speak our hearts out. If we do, we receive every kind of abuse, insult and threats. I myself have been subjected to such comments and emails. People try to seduce me and when they fail, they start abusing.
Pakistani society hates to see a self-reliant attitude among girls and young women manifested in ambition, assertiveness, and individualism. They are dead against women liberation and they want to keep them under shackles. Despite of these hardships girls tend to prove their mettle time and again in all fields of the life.
Pakistani girls, be happy, be healthy, be confident, be you, and be beautiful and rule the world.

Pakistani society hates to see a self-reliant attitude among girls and young women manifested in ambition, assertiveness, and individualism.
^ I am against of this thought. Not all Pakistani society against of women working outside and earn their own money, but this concept is there because when woman go outside there are chances that she does not get interest in her home and husband but she likes “fashion” or “glamour” more.
Also, it is because of the low literacy in our country.
Hope you understand my point.

Mohammad Yusha, it’s not nonsensical nor is it twisted. It’s just over your head.
Amna’s post is one sided that is only telling about these trouble causing men when in reality you have the same trouble causing women as well. To make matters worse, these two types of fools encourage each other in their foolishness by their own actions.

you should not need to worry about others’ women of our society and only concentrate on the need of woman or women under your domain. I mean your sister, mother , wife and daughter.Seeing your depth of conservative comments ( if real) I have lot of sympathies for those women whom God have sent under your control.I hope that they will pass their all punishment procedures and tenure under your guardianship and will be directly awarded by ticket of paradise in their life after death for their long time torture under such men of our society.
Woman of society represents the mentality of our men.If they are covered then it is desire of their men and if enjoying revealing dresses then men of our society also demand such gestures too.
so its better to concentrate your energy on men’s unchaste acts on our streets while seeing woman or using all open public spaces for urinating or playing gambling or going to red areas on regular basis.
Let the women community to handle their problems on their own basis.

I am extremely sorry for this,,It is not just about Pakistani girls.It happens every where and India is no different.Amna this is the core face of everything thats happening and it happens more in a developing nation .I sue our society and culture for all this… I recently wrote something regarding the same on my blog…do read it

you don’t know anything about me but look at you shooting your mouth off. I feel sorry for the men in your family that they have to put up with you going out in miniskirts and tubetops and dating boys and doing what not with them. I especially feel sorry for your sons (if you are married) because they will grow up to be intimidated by women and bullied by them. They will grow up to be with low self esteem from the constant belitting of them by their feminazi mother. All the while their sisters will be geared up to be next miss pakistan pageant contestants.
You are the perfect example of what I was talking about. The feminazi of the women, just as the men have the chauvinistic men (that amna was talking about). You both groups don’t know how to be like normal people and give the other gender their rights and you stay in your place.
You women aren’t little girls that we men dress you up in how we want to see you. You yourself dress how you believe and what kind of attention you want. You think women are forced into covering up? that shows the extent of your ignorance and feminist kuffar brain washing. Go read the news about about the Muslim women who cover up because that is what Islam has ordered but they are discriminated against because they are covered up. It is your lude women who go out and buy the short dresses and what not to wear in the public to get attention.
The clothes are there, you are the ones who pick whether you want to follow islam and cover up or you want to follow the movies and uncover yourself. You decide and then you go buy the clothes and dress like that. So don’t blame anyone else but yourself.

I think THERE IS NO BETTER PAKISTANI MAN THAN THAT PAKISTANI LADY MOHTRAMMA BENAZIR BHUTTO.
She dared to take on the might of obscrutanism,Army generals and was ready to pay with her life.
Can one say the same about Gen Musharaff who was ready to stay in Pakistan( I used to admire him for that).But now purchased a penthouse in London and refused to come to DEMOCRATIC SUPREMECOURT. Is he not a coward? Ofcourse he is a man and a General.
Here in TPS. Amna, nazia,Isha,ghazala etc have been put to filthy abuses just because they are WOMAN. This has nothing to do with Islam or pakistan, it is everything to do with south asian males who have been working as SLAVES for ARABS,IRANIANS,BRITISHERS etc etc.

I advised you to forget about others’ women and think only for better and hyper hyperventilated life of yours’ women only.
I have also given you clue to help men folk for their crimes and sins that is their normal practice in our culture.
Woman of our society whatever class she belongs is symbol of culture and also represents different family values of our society.
So their variety of dress codes also shows the mentality of their family they belong.
One can judge through her gait and dress up way that what is her background,
Sometimes mini skirt women shows strong family values and sometime prostitutes use veil dress up like burqah to cover them in public places.so nothing is concluded in dress codes for judging a character of woman , you just need some time to study her actual behavior.
I again repeat women of our society dress up as per rule imposed by their parents, husband and sometime inlaws .The modern dresses which you say is unislamic is demand of many husbands and some fathers are very pleased to see that their daughters are wearing such attractive dresses in country where 70% people are illiterate.
The girl or woman that shows double standard of getup usually come from hypocrites and extremely strict family that want to impose strict laws on their ladies by using threat of religion.
Contrary to this they, didnt follow same norms for themselves and in reaction these ladies adopt extreme wrong doings to liberate their frustration.
This create extremely hypocritical culture around us and people like you start throwing anger on us for your strict reversions.
Dont worry about my thinking and dress code as I am completely synchronized with my family values which lead us toward strong muslim women and our men really feel proud of us.

a women neither should be a doctor noe an engineer……. a women should be a great WIFE & great MOTHER to establish a great society.
Women should be well educated but not for her professional life but for the sake of their family n coming generation. They should be well educated to understand the needs n problems of coming era as mom n wife n also have to solve them. This is what the mean of education of women .
