I read somewhere that Facebook is a dating site,though I am not quite sure about it. Let me quote a piece that the Face­book is also never talked about in the midst of people. It’s become a taboo to talk about it in public. Why? Because it’s a dating site! No one wants to admit that they’re a part of a dating site! I have met some inter­est­ing people through it, but I have never met them in person! In fact, for all I know they could not even be the person that’s on the pro­file (common on the Inter­net). Now, should I stay in or leave the site? Hmmm….

The most obvi­ous place where it par­al­lels a dating site is the “Relationship Status” sec­tion. You can put on there that you’re single, mar­ried, in a rela­tion­ship, or in an open rela­tion­ship (what­ever that means).

More and more Karachi girls are on Facebook and same is the case with other cities. Boys are just crazy about having making a friend at facebook with the girls. But that is very crazy. Facebook and dating have become synonymous and there is no check on it.
