First let me apologize from my readers about the long absence. I was actually on a course in Hong Kong and wow what an experience it was to be in that country. I will surely be writing about my experiences in that exotic land.

But first today lets discuss the national issue which has taken the whole country into its grip. The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has been forcing the telecos around the Pakistan to block the SIMS registered in one name if they exceed from one. That is ridiculous, but more ridiculous thing is that nothing is being done to control the infusion of publishing of mobile numbers of pakistani girls on the websites and the chat rooms and other online forums.

Many forums and websites are littered with such numbers, and it is creating havoc. I have personally seen that many people start posting mobiles numbers of karachi girls or lahore girls in the comments of my posts, and they never took a minute to what I am saying. I understand that this is equally difficult for the website content managers to handle this gigantic task, but there has to be some solution for this.

    So that explains where you have been!!! - this blog has missed our women’s issues writer dearly so glad you are back.

    I dont think you can filter out / regulate comments to that level - however why cant a girl change her number if she is being harrassed?! its a simple solution as a sim costs only around 100 rp.

    also - the govt should take notice of these phone operators. can you not approach your MNA, MPA or write to someone to get this raised as a provincial/ national issue - issue being youth exploitation by offering late night packages etc etc

    im sure you would get the support as many people are affected by it.
