Pakistan Takes One More Step Toward Peace : Ajmal Kasab is Pakistani

By Shayan Khan • Jan 7th, 2009 • Category: Politics • 15 Comments

India may be bigger in size, but it’s heart is not that much big which is a sad fact. Since the Mumbai terror attack, Pakistani government and the people have time and again told their neighbors as how much sorry they where and Pakistan was ready to share the grief and pain of Indians as it was itself the victim of terrorism, but the hawks and the war-mongers in India fanned the media hysteria and things reached to brinksmanship.

Pakistan has adopted a cold, calculated, professional and objective posture. It offered assistance and did everything to help India. Despite of Indian aggressive postures, war threats and the world-wide propaganda, Pakistanis never waivered from their stance of thorough investigation. Even when India was about to attack Pakistan, Pakistan didn’t budge.

Actually India wanted Pakistan to plead and to lick boots, but Pakistan maintained it’s postures and carried on the investigation in the Mumbai attacks, and now after the efforts of US and China India gave some proofs regarding Ajmal Kasab and then Pakistan completed the initial investigations and asserted that Ajmal Kasab is a Pakistani national, but it’s also a fact that his record wasnt’ present in the national database.

Also India must not try to exploit this outcome of early investigation as Pakistan will go forward and will follow the leads. Its’ equally possible that Ajmal Kasab became the leverage for Indian terror groups or some groups in Pakistan. Whatever it is Pakistan will not follow the hysteria of India and will do the investigation in its own professional way and world is rest assured that Pakistan is the leading country to fight the terrorism.

  1. Well said that about showing a worthy posture, i guess our true and elected leaders were ready to lick the boots and even more,

    by

first trying to send our intelligence chief to India, and then by committing to the US of some limited surgical strikes by our neighboring country India.

Remember this is the same country about which our supreme leader has expressed his views that there is no threat that can emanate out of this “brotherly”neighbor.

I guess the in time intervention of the men in uniform robbed us of the great opportunity to lick the tasty and yummy boots of the country that owns bollywoood( the dream of most of our flag bearers)

  2. Pakistan hesitatingly drags one step forward and a dozen back. Remember Pakistan’s last misadventure in Kargil in response to AB Vajpayee’s peace initiatives?

This time around, Pakistan grudgingly responded to international pressure by “house arresting” some token terrorist leaders known to be operating openly in Pakistan.

However, Pakistan refused India, the US, the UK and other countries full access to these terrorists, because had these state assets begun singing, they would have confirmed Pakistan’s explicit support of Islamic terrorist activities. These are admissions that Pakistan does not want to deal with.

You can sugar coat it all you want, but Pakistan has long been known as an active supporter of Islamic terrorists, even though these very terrorist organisations are trying to kill Pakistanis. This is a relatively recent development, which came about after 9/11, when the Pakistani military establishment was forced to decide between backing the war on terror or siding with the terrorists.

  3. Dear Shayan Khan

[now after the efforts of US and China India gave some proofs regarding Ajmal Kasab and then Pakistan completed the initial investigations and asserted that Ajmal Kasab is a Pakistani national, but it’s also a fact that his record wasn’t present in the national database.]

This is absurd claim of yours; how come you know that Kasab is Pakistani and some how his name was missed out of record. This must be your mere hallucination?

Is the said investigation complete and where is the published report. Can you please give the reference of that report?

I think we need to be care full here before committing a thing basing on a hearsay which may affect the national controversial issues.

The title of the boy as ‘Kasab’; it self must itself be rejected at the very out set because Kasab means the butcher or — ‘Kasaie’. No sane Kasaie writes with his name as Kasab. This fact is known in Indian Territory also. Kasab usually are known and they do write themselves as Qureeshies.

Any how— hand him over to our police for counter or joint investigation and see that what sort of confession then he gives.

In any case such confessions bear no weight and do not form as a substance to be presented as evidence in the court of law.

    Regards

Better hold your horses and also your brush that you are try to pick to paint. Please do some thing which is your ‘Shayan e shan’ and as well as for Pakistan.

[Better hold your horses and also your brush that you are trying to pick to paint. Please do some thing which is your ‘Shayan e shan’ and as well as for Pakistan.]

    I mean if your Pakistani.

  5. so true Khokar

  6. A Khokar,

“This is absurd claim of yours; how come you know that Kasab is Pakistani and somehow his name was missed out of record. This must be your mere hallucination?”

Hamid Mir, Islamabad-based editor of Geo Channel, who telecast Kasab’s father from Faridkot village in Okara district of Pakistan identifying his son as the captured terrorist of 26/11, is now living in hell.

Are you claiming to know better than Ajmal Kasab’s own father, Amir Kasab?

Are you claiming to know better than the esteemed Dawn newspaper?

Are you claiming to know better than your civilian-military leaders?

After weeks of cussed denials, Pakistan finally came around to acknowledging that Kasab is Pakistani. The confirmation comes from your information minister, Sherry Rehman. Earlier, Mahmud Ali Durrani was sacked for acknowledging that Kasab could be Pakistani.

No, it is you who are hallucinating!

  7. Pakistan had to finally lick their boots and admit that Kasab is their own after the overwhelming evidence presented by India, and the immense diplomatic pressure from the world’s leading countries initiated by India. If Pakistani authorities still doubt even the father’s admission that the picture in the press on 26/11 at the CST terminal was his son’s, why not submit the father’s DNA as India requested and put the matter to rest?

  8. Khokar,

Is the data of all Pakistani’s entered in your database? Your govt. themselves claim that only some of the data is maintained and many are still to be added to this database.

So your claim of records goes for a toss, now coming to acceptance and denial of Kasab’s identity. Your govt first said he is a Pakistani then denied it, then your news organization found his parents and voters list, then one of your political leader said he is Pakistani and questioned the ruling govt. for blocking his village from visitors, then his parents have come and openly claimed he is their son.

What more do you need Mr. Khokar? If you are ready for doing DNA test of his and his parents then will you be satisfied that he is what they claim.

Khokar have you got your eyes operated sometime, cos I think you are wearing dark glasses and cant see things properly.

    Shayan,

India don’t want Pakistan to plead or lick boots or something like that, all they wanted was Pakistan to act on these terror camps which are set on its territory. They had said they will remove them but they did not do that, now also they are not doing it.

Are you guys ready for the Americans coming and doing carpet bombing like they did it in Afghanistan, cos sooner or later they are going to say that the terror threat is coming from Pakistan and they will invade and do it.

It is for your own good that you ask your govt., army and ISI to clean these camps and put the people involved and responsible in PROPER JAILS and not under house arrest. The best thing will to execute these guys.

Shayan you and all the Pakistanis are like brothers to us, you are part of our family.

No one likes to hurt its family members.

    Think logical and think rational.

  9. Khokar,

What do you have to say on the points mentioned in this comment. This is the trail of events that too place after the Mumbai attacks.

    Sino,

Would like to apologies as took your comment post from one of the earlier articles without permission.

Hope you are ok with it.

Shayan you also need to go through this.

  10. Mr. Shayan,

    Us salama lekum,
We in India sympathise with people like you who are ignorant about real facts. Its a pity that you think that your government is an angel. Please note the following and then decide if Pakistan wants to eliminate terrorism or itself a terrorist state?

    1. Pakistan has failed to punish terrorists like Masood Azhar and Dawood Ibrahim. Infact, they are being patronised by the government. These very terrorists are killing innocents wihin and outside Pakistan. Your government is not concerned about your plight and your lives but the well being of dear terrorists.

    2. The government is full of hawks and hate mongers who spread venom and instigate well meaning innocent people like you. Have you seen how Mr. Hamid Gul and Mr. Zayed Hameed talk? They want to avenge 1971 war even after 37 years !

    3. One third of Pakistan is under direct control of Taliban.Do you call your country an independent country? Your army and police can’t even touch these areas. Under the circumstances you must take help from helpful civilised countries like U.S and India. If you do not have the guts to catch the terrorists then you must allow others to do the needful.

    4. Even when Kasab’s father admitted that he is his son, your government instead of agreeing to it, sealed off the village and denied everything about it. Your government is a government of liars and headed by Mr. 10% . Perhaps Nawaz would be a slightly better option ( the lesser evil).

    5. You must appreciate India’s restraint.Even after losing more than 170 of innocent citizens including international guests, India acted responsibly and tolerated Pakistan’s denial for so long. India wants peace but sadly Pakistan is hell bent upon destroying itself.

    6. It is sad to see your government supporting the enemies of women. I really sympathise with your women. Remember, God never spares people who disrespect their own women. Come to India and see how happy muslims are over here. Babri mosque demolition and Gujrat riots are the only black spots but overall, Muslims are very happy and are against any terrorism. When our muslim clerics refused to bury the killed Pakistani terrorists, it was a tight slap on the Pakistani fundamentalists who should set their own house in order instead of worrying about Indian Muslims. In fact India has more muslims than Pakistan.

India loves peace. Its only in India that a catholic woman ( Sonia) paves way for a sikh ( Manmohan Singh) to become a prime minister and given oath by a muslim president ( Abdul Kalam). And you talk about big heart.

    Khuda Hafiz.

    Ehsaan

  11. If Pakistanis are so convinced that they are not guilty and that they have a heart , they should have proved why they are not guilty instead of wasting time criticizing India .They should have allowed freedom of speech in Faridkot .They should have at least interrogated Lakhvi and brought out the reports-why they are innocent- to the entire world quickly .If they had done that ,the entire world would have praised and supported Pakistan. Sadly the world is now viewing as though Pakistanis are trying to prove hopelessly that they some sense of humor .The international media again will soon start to criticize Pakistan as a criminal State trying to wipe off all the details of crime. It should not happen .Pakistan knows the truth whether they are guilty or not and if guilty, there’s no shame in accepting the truth and the future will shower praises on the current Government .If not guilty prove why you are not guilty instead of just kicking asses…

What I don’t understand is if India indeed is trying to put unnecessary pressure on Pakistan ,then why had India released some 60 odd Pakistani prisoners last week without any fuss? If India can extradite useful civilians even at the time of hatred , then why can’t Pakistan in turn extradite useless criminals just to promote peace .Why is not India asking for that? Why is not the Indian media exaggerating all these events? After all is the Central Indian Government a honest one, speaking the truth all these days ? Now it is in the hands of Pakistan to prove their part..

  12. Shayan Khan,

You say “Pakistan has adopted a cold, calculated, professional and objective posture” ..

Those who are neutrally observing both the sides doesn’t think so , particularly the use of the word ‘professional’ doesn’t fit anywhere.
    1) See whatever you say , the world always believe Lakhvi is a criminal .Pakistan haven’t proved or disproved that still .Why?
2)If Lakhvi was indeed arrested , why haven’t they brought him in the light .If it is true that Pakistan is reluctant to punish Lakhvi -I mean if he is guilty- then it logically follows pakistan loved to see taj Mahal burning.

Till Pakistan proves anything for or against LeT ,Pakistan will face humiliation from the world..

  13. great information indeed

  14. Ehsaan….man…you have valid points…you just slapped these pakis….see there is not a single paki replying your comments… well done dude.
