Indian TV channels have run song competitions with huge success. Their programs Voice of India and many others on channels like Star Plus, Sony and Zee have broken all the records and their quality is also very good and they are equally very popular in Pakistan.

Following their footprints, virtually every Pakistani private channel including Indus TV, GEO, and many others have started programs like Pakistan Sangeet Icon and Voice of Pakistan and many others. I was flipping channels and come across one such program and I was appalled at the low quality of singers and the so-called judges were those noisy pop singers who themselve need some serious and arduous teaching in the realm of music.

Pakistani TV channels either should improve the quality or stick to what they are good at: Drama serials.
