Pakistan Human Resource, An Asset

By Ali Yar Khan • Sep 15th, 2009 • Category: Politics • 2 Comments

A Pakistan that is working hard to reinvent its own mystique in a world where its survival is doubted should applaud the lull in the war against terror and the fact that the terrorists are on the backfoot, which is good not only for Pakistan and the NATO, but also for the world, but for an international system that needs to begin pondering what it will look like decades from now.

Pakistan is a global player, even well before the war on terror. Even before the USSR invasion of Afghanistan. This notion is false and baseless as Pakistan only gets the limelight of the world when war comes to its neighborhood and doesn’t even get attention when it gets entangled in its own wars. Pakistan was going to be the Asian Tiger, but due to the repetitive military takeovers and the corruption of politicians and the misguided vision of our king makers to play the rookie of world power has pushed as far behind.

Pakistanis are right now in great difficult as they have no hope from their leadership. In every campaign they have made promises and then they failed to accomplish that, and after every elections, only faces got changed and the status quo remained intact. Our leaders are not serious and incapable of changing the ways of politics and they are only after their vested interests. There is such a sense of disconnect between what’s happening on the ground and what’s happening in Islamabad that it sucks.

There is a huge potential in Pakistan and its human resource is simply awesome, but alas our leaders just suck.

  1. We all are aware of the problems, and what leadership are doing.
It needs really serious effort from our youth to take charge of the situation and try to improve the situation. People say that the situation can be improved but it need a revolution and it means shedding blood and many people shall be dying.
Hope we all be responsible and do our part and stop thinking that some one shall come do the things right for us.
We have to bring the things in order in hard way, have to do some sacrifices and become responsible, more importantly start owning this god difted country.

  2. Our human resources are real assets if we plan to use as work force. At this moment they are just vote banks of our leaders and nothing more than it.Our contractual system of hiring majority of people as labors or for other non technical jobs are extreme show of brutality on our real man power.I take it just near to level of slavery which we see in english movies for black people.
They are just left on the mercy of one person who is free for his beastly acts on them and is just being promoted in large scale for last many years to avoid burden on companies as regular employees.
On the other hand there is no reduction in perks of higher management and if collect the data in this recession period all top managers in govt and semi govt organizations are opting more foreign tours than before without any objectivity
In labor force there is no govt check that how much contractor is actually paying to these laborers who physically work for 10 to 12 hrs in pathetic and unsafe conditions.
