Origin of Black Magic
By Mohammad Yusha • Jun 13th, 2011 • Category: Mystic Matters • One ResponseBlack magic originated when Harut and Marut, two angels taught people magic but with a warning that they should not ask them, otherwise the people will become unbelievers.
We all know that Prophet Sulaiman (AS) was given the power to control jinn, winds, he could fly anywhere on his throne, and he could understand the language of animals and vice versa.
Iblis (shaitan) wanted to convince people that Sulaiman (AS) got his powers through magic. Even though we cannot see Iblis (shaitan) today, he could be seen back then. And he could take anyone’s form. He impersonated Sulaiman (AS) for 40 days and had him thrown out of the kingdom. He then wrote books on black magic and convinced people that Sulaiman (AS) got his powers by performing witchcraft. Those books were also a means of the spread of black magic in the beginning.
Allah SWT revealed the following verse and told people that it was not Sulaiman (AS) but the devils who were the culprits.
Surah Baqarah (verse 102): They followed what the devils taught in the reign of sulaiman; not that Sulaiman was unbelieving, but the devils were unbelieving. Sorcery did they teach to men, and what had been revealed to the two angels, Harut and Marut, at Babel. Yet no man did they teach until they had said, “We are only a temptation. Be not then an unbeliever.” From these two did people learn how to cause division between man and wife; but unless by leave of God, no man did harm thereby. They learned, indeed, what would harm and not profit them: and yet they knew he who bought that art should have no part in the life in the hereafter. And vile is the price for which they sold themselves. if they had but known.
I went back to all my articles on black magic and have noticed that people ask me questions regularly. It is very difficult for me to check back on my articles everyday. If you have any questions, please ask in this article.
Meanwhile I will create some links to my past articles, to make it easy to access them.

I am very grateful to The Pakistani Spectator and Ghazala Khan for allowing me to write on TPS. There is a lot of awareness and information on politics and social issues but very little on magic. Magic is a reality and is destroying people's lives. It is a duty to help and educate people on this subject. God bless you all.
