Bush administration was not very conducive from the point of view of Brussels. I am thinking Afghanistan and Iraq war commander is receiving peace prize, what next? May be the committee will award posthumous peace prizes to all the generals who fought the world wars. You can guess the Europe's desire for world peace from this award. No matter if people in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq are getting killed, what matters is their vested interests. And if as the committee said the peace prize is for all the speeches he made, then it should be awarded to John Favreau for he is the brains behind Obama's speeches.
