PML N Leader Nawaz Shareef’s Speech on 14th August
LAHORE - PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif on Friday said that former President Pervez Musharraf’s trial for treason was a must for saving the country from any future martial law.
He was addressing a ceremony organised by Nazria Pakistan Trust in collaboration with Tehrik-e-Pakistan Workers Trust at Aiwan-e-Karkunan Tehrik-e-Pakistan on Independence Day. The ceremony was attended by Pakistan Movement workers, PML-N workers and people from all walks of life
Nawaz Sharif said that the dictator had committed oppression, violated the Constitution, dissolved Parliament, arrested judges, murdered Akbar Bugti and carried out Lal Masjid operation. “Musharraf had personal feud with me during my second tenure on account of Kargil war.
Musharraf, Gen Aziz, Gen Mehmood and Gen Hasan were responsible for Kargil debacle,” he said. “They had not taken the government, corps commanders and anybody else into confidence but in the larger interest of country and the Pakistan Army, I owned it but the reward was removal of my government. I was put behind the bars and had to face exile.
Nawaz Sharif said this nation has great vigour and potential. He praised Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif for doing good work. “Shahbaz Sharif is working hard to settle the things without caring for his health. He is working by day and night to overcome the problems faced by the people.”
Nawaz Sharif said murder of Akbar Bugti at the hands of Musharraf and Lal Masjid carnage led to deterioration of situation in Balochistan and elsewhere. He should be taken to task for every minute of Lal Masjid episode and what he did with judiciary.
He urged Army to alienate itself from Musharraf. “We have to separate truth from the falsehood and Parliament should show courage. The administration and judiciary should make a pledge to try the dictator,” he added.
Nawaz Sharif said who is asking those to play a role who say they will not play a role in the trial of Musharraf? These people were equally siding with Musharraf in his crimes and are liable to accountability. They were equally involved in the murder of Akbar Bugti and Lal Masjid operation. These were the persons who used to say “we will elect Musharraf ten times in uniform”.

LONDON: The Quaid Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain has appealed to the ruling administration to re-look into the decision of repealing local government system as there lies in it, the welfare of the people of Pakistan.
This Altaf said during telephonic address from London on the inaugural ceremony of newly constructed monument near Mukka Chaowke closely located to MQM’s Nine Zero.
He said the people of Pakistan are suffering from load shedding and inflation menaces on the eve of Independence Day while the government should have made announcement of cut in commodities prices on this glorifying occasion.
“We make fun of our independence every year by doing ethically wrong deeds”, he remarked adding, “The country is undergoing the critical situation.”
He said on one hand the army is countering terrorism in NWFP province while on the other hand the government is suppressing the legitimate demands of the Baloch people.
Altaf Hussain asked government for meeting the lawful demands of the Baloch people and for promotion of policy of love instead of hatred.
Now watch the difference between two speeches held on 14th August. Look at the contents and see who talks what. These addresses clearly tell us who thinks of “I” and who thinks of “us” (The Nation).

Nawaz Sharif also did UNCONSTITUTIONAL ACTS which were termed UNCONSTITUTIONAL by NON PCO Judges, SO Mr Nawaz SHould be tried under article 6.For Brief read my Article.
Now a days Mr Nawaz Sharif and his party is quite vocal against Ex President of Pakistan for doing UNCONSTITUTIONAL acts and demanding a trial under article 6 for Ex President Musharraf for violating the constitution of Pakistan.
Nawaz Sharif and his party is now holding the torch of Free Judiciary even though Nawaz and his party attacked the Supreme court of Pakistan.
I really feel pitty for Nawaz and his party as they are the one who should be hanged for taking UNCONSTITUTIONAL decisions.
In 1998 Nawaz Sharif then Prime Minister of Pakistan made Military Courts in Sindh Province in the name of controlling Law and Order situation but the real motives were to crush MQM the Second Largest Political Party of Sindh and Third Largest of Pakistan for not supporting the 15th Amendment that makes Mr Nawaz Sharif Ameer ul Momineen.
On 17th of Feburary 1999 a Bench of NON PCO JUDGES comprises of
Chief Justice Ajmal Mian,
Justice Saiduzzaman Siddiqui,
Justice Irshad Hasan Khan,
Justice Raja Afrasiab Khan,
Justice Mohammad Bashir Jehangiri,
Justice Nasir Aslam Zahid,
Justice Munawar Ahmed Mirza,
Justice Mamoon Kazi and
Justice Abdur Rehman Khan.
Unanimously declared the setting up of military courts
for the trial of civilians as unconstitutional and without lawful
authority.
The Honorable Bench give the following Decision.
“We are of the view that Ordinance No XII of 1998 as amended up-to-
date in so far as it allows the establishment of military courts
for trial of civilian charged with the offences mentioned in
Section 6 and the schedule to the above ordinance are declared
Unconstitutional, without lawful authority and of no legal effect,”
According to this judgment by the 9 member NON PCO Bench, it is crystal clear that the then Prime Minister (Nawaz Sharif) and President Rafiq Tarar did conduct an Unconstitutional Act, which is declared by the Supreme Court of Pakistan as Unconstitutional and Un Lawful.( It is worth noting that Nawaz Sharif is asking for Musharraf Trial as Supreme Court of Pakistan termed 3 Nov 2007 Actions Un Constitutional and Illegal, the same Supreme Court cited on 17 Feb 1999).
So if Mr Nawaz Sharif asked the Government to try Musharraf under article 6 for doing Unconstitutional and Un Lawful Act then Mr Nawaz Sharif Did the same in 1998 and the Supreme Court comprises of NON PCO Judges gave the same Verdict against Him as well, then He Should be Try under article 6 and should be hang for doing un constitutional Act as well.
Now it is the duty of Civil Society and Lawyers Community and People of Pakistan to ask for the trial of Mr Nawaz Sharif, then Prime Minister who advised the then President Rafiq Tarar to issue an ordinance for setting up Military Courts, which was termed by the Supreme Court of Pakistan as Un Constitutional and Unlawful, Under article 6 for doing an UNCONSTITUTIONAL ACT.
Lets see the so called Civil Society and Lawyers would comes out from the fold of Punjabi Nationalism and ask for Mr Nawaz trial under Article 6 or not.
This post is a big Question Mark on the people who wants trial of Musharraf under Article 6 for doing Unconstitutional Act but not asking trial of Mr Nawaz Sharif for the same.

Nawaz Sharif whether one likes it or not is the most popular leader of Pakistan today. Nawaz Sharif and Altaf Hussain cannot be compared in any regard. Altaf Hussain is the leader of a terrorist party who has unleashed a of reign in Karachi since last two decades whereas Nawaz Sharif heads a political party.
MQM was the party who was the main beneficiary of the NRO with over 2800 cases pardoned. MQM is party who has no ideology, it stay in power no matter who the ruler is. Nawaz Sharif started the operation against MQM in 1992 butin1997 MQM was a part of the goverenment and supported PML-N
PPP continued the operation and MQM has always held PPPresponsible for the extra judicial killings of 15000of its workers but “MULK AUR QAUM K MAFAD MAIN SAB CHALTA HAI”. Today MQM is again sharing power with PPP.
MQM has always held the establishment for operation against MQM but supported the establishment since 2002.
MQM is a group of thugs and opportunists who have lust for powerr and ministries and will do anything to stayin power
Nawaz Shareef might be a leader of century for some. I don’t deny it but reason for quoting excepts of both speeches is to reveal the mentality of both leaders. In Nawaz Shareef speech I don’t find anything except Musharraf. He could have forgotten Musharraf at least on 14th August and sent a message on National lines rather than politicizing the whole event.
