Nawaz Sharif’s Role in War on Terror
By Salman Mugsi • Oct 8th, 2008 • Category: Politics • 2 CommentsAt last some good news is in the offing with some promise and substance. Nawaz Sharif is playing the bridging role between the Taliban and Afghan administration+NATO to resolve the issue through dialogue to ensure the peace in the war torn region. In the dialogue being held in Mecca, representatives of all the Taliban groups are taking part and there are also the reps of Afghan government, United States and United Kingdom.
That is the right place and the right way to resolve the matters. Saudi Arabia is the only country in the Muslim would to exercise some power over the US and NATO forces, and they have the clout and muscle to introduce cease fire and peace and the ultimate return of US forces from the Afghanistan and the cleansing of militancy from Afghanistan and the FATA region of Pakistan.
Nawaz Sharif is the natural mediator between the Taliban and the NATO. Because he is a familiar and trustworthy personality for the Afghan Mujahideen leaders and Talibans and he is also familiar with his moderator party to the West. He has also good relationships with the Saudi Kingdom.
It’s good to see Nawaz Sharif playing that role, and that proves again that he is the leader, we need badly.

Hi,
Saudies are doing this for the mMacain campaign as they know once Obama comes to power the Texan oil lobby connection(tjhrough halliburton and cheney )to Saudi arabia ruling elite will be lost and they will be exposed for their dubious role with Bush.
Which planet are we all living on?
Nawaz Sharrif should get his house in order first..I believe ‘restoration of judiciary’ was his election promise to the nation. Is that a dead issue now ?
Perhaps he has realised that Zardari is a better man so he might as well play his tune and keep his reward ‘Punjab’ .
have a nice day!
