Nawaz Sharif, Stand Up

By Salman Mugsi • Nov 2nd, 2008 • Category: Politics • One Response

Asif Ali Zardari’s flashing teeth and the Farooq H. Naek’s flashing legalese has certainly extracted some juice from the lawyers movement courtesy to the dual strategy and uncertainty greed of Aitzaz Ahsan, and it is not sooner that we will see the soul-stirring sight of Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar taking his heels out of the Supreme Court and Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry coming back to his deserving throne of justice.

Now its’ not remain the question of involvement of some political parties in this lawyer movement is a good or bad thing. It might be good for the parties concerned in strengthening their democratic and pro-judiciary credential, but they should aim for higher objective. They should strive for the supremacy of constitution and law in the country. Point scoring and petty politics has carved off enough slice from the lawyers movement, and now the parties who have enjoyed that bite must pay back.

Stand up Nawaz Sharif…….
