National Employment Scheme in Pakistan
By Dr. Hassan Isfahani • Mar 29th, 2008 • Category: Politics • 3 CommentsAfter taking the vote of confidence from the newly elected assembly, Prime Minister Makhdoom Yousuf Raza Gillani announced many nice tasks, though his 100-day plan lacks the modus operandi.
The most striking announcement was the National Employment Scheme. That’s the need of hour, but one dreads the future of this scheme, as several schemes like these have been introduced and have been mainly used to bless the political activists and to accomplish nepotism with little benefits to the common and needy people.
Pakistan’s economic indicators may be swelling, but the plight of the common man is 180 degree different, and they really need jobs and for that well paid jobs to get going and to lessen their poverty and their miseries. PM Gillani needs to materiaize this scheme as soon as possible and with full transparency and open feedback and with tangible results.

Cheap Populism. Such fantasies do not help, it’s just an attempt to dope us the ‘Awaam’, ever gullible. Poor us!
The plan seems to be good only if acted upon it.
No doubt its very positive step taken by PM. Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani to overcome the unemployment situation in pakistan .For the better utilization of Human resources in Pakistan, and avoid to migrate qualified citizen, especially the professionals like MBA’s, Doctors, Engineers, and Phd Doctors. of Pakistan to abroad, Govt. Must have to implement such decision as soon as possible. The quick implementation of such decision will make the better image of the New Govt. among the youngster.
