Naran Trip: Beautiful Travel Story
By ALi R Khan • Oct 2nd, 2008 • Category: Entertainment • 3 CommentsNow its Time to told story of my wonderful college trip to Naran valley. We set off to Naran on may 8 2008 at 9am. A pleasant and noisy journey inside the coaster with pumped up friends and some boring teachers…
Our First stop was Abottabad where we refiled out stomach with Pakoras. Next was the roaring, cool fast and the furious River Kunhar, after that we crossed the Historical Balakot and after very upright and dangerous ride, we reached shogran in the evening, there were a lot of plans for Night Party but Motel manager told that there wont be any electricity after 11PM, so we have to sleep earlier, there was also a wrangle between two of my friends for Bed, as there were 6 guys(no girls) in one room with 2 double beds.
Mourning was cool, cloudy and fresh, and right after Breakfast, 1 hour jeep ride and we were at small but beautiful SIRI Lake, and another 2 hours and we trekked the way up to PAYE, Return from Paye was more difficult because of drizzle.
In the evening, after Returning back from Paye and Siri Lake, we were ready to set off for NARAN, a wonderful, Beautiful Town of Khaghan. there was inspiring Landscape along the way to Naran, huge mountains, covered with lush green trees and stone houses of Brave villagers on slopes…ahhh. I wished hundred times, that if i could ever spend few days of my life in those houses just like they Do…
we reached Naran at 8pm and it was raining in Naran, weather was Great. But electricity was also a big hurdle in out night party here too. Few adventurist, including me, planned to go riverside at mid night but few chickens in our Group stopped us and we have to return from the half way to destination.
Next mourning and destination was the great beautiful Lake Saif-ul-maluk, which we saw in pictures but now we were going to see it first time. About 16 Brave adventurist decided to hike all the way from motel to Lake lead by experienced Nayyar, i was one of them. This was Great, enjoyable and walking in the heaven kind of experience, as there was bluish water on one side and huge mountains on the other and between was 16 guys heading toward Great Lake saif-ul-makuk. we were completely tired and dried up but reward was Great, Whole Lake Saif-ul-maluk, two-third covered with snow, waiting for us for about centuries.
The water of lake was crystal clear, and freezing cool. we tried to hike the mountain on right of lake but due to time problem we couldn’t, we remain there for about 2-3 hours and we loved every second of it.
The return from fairy Land was Sad.
We reached to Motel at about 6 pm and there was a plan for bonfire, we danced on Indian songs and enjoyed bar-be-que and when the fire extinguished, our journey Ended, I wish that fire Never ends.
It looks like returning Back Heaven, from a tension free land to troubled world.
I am writing this after about a month from the trip and still i can remember every detail. The impression was so strong on my mind, the whole trip was relaxing and beautiful experience.
I love Naran, I love saif-ul-Maluk and Gods Creativity.

Very poor essay on Naran trip, 6/10
Next time get it checked with some boring teachers before posting.
You should read this article on Kaghan Valley and Lulusar Lake http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/749e0/13f490/. It is well-worded and I believe it will keep you involved while reading and you will feel that you are listening to some live story of a beautiful valley.
Have a great day.
