Mosque Burned in Athens, Greece
By Fatima Tassaduq • May 24th, 2009 • Category: Politics • 5 CommentsTerrorists are everywhere. Terrorism is not confined to any one region or religion. It’s a universal phenomenon and found everywhere. One more display of sheer terrorism happened in the historical city of Athens, in the Greece, where some extremists burned down and demolished a make-shift mosque.
A basement of a flat was being used as the mosque and the assailants burned it down after throwing gasoline. The incident followed clashes in Athens between Muslim immigrants and Greek police during protests sparked by allegations that a police officer tore up and stamped on a Koran during an identity check earlier in the week. Instead of calming Muslims down, Athenian police attitude was appalling and very callous.
Athens has no licensed mosques and thousands of Muslims immigrants residing in the city are forced to use rented flats and warehouses for their prayers. It is very alamring situation and the United Nations should take notice of this basic human rights violation.

oohhh noo, this is not terrorism, its individual act
terrorism is only when Muslims are behind the incident.
Oh no, looks like they are learning from Pakistan…there isn’t a country apart from Pakistan were so many mosques Sunni, Shia, Ahmadi have been attacked. Please someone tell Greeks not to follow Pakistani ways.
For those who are sincerely looking for the truth in this matter, you can read it from the source here:

Leave Pakistan out of this. For us as Pakistanis, we should not be concerned with this incident because it doesn’t concern us. I know those people were Muslims but when the March attack on a mosque in Pakistan left 48 injured and dead, did any other nation say or do anything. No!
On top of that, no one died in this incident so all is well. The people weren’t even badly injured and were discharged the same day they were taken to the hospital. The burns that one person received weren’t even enough for the officials to declare the incident an arson. Judging by the picture of the place attacked, it doesn’t even seem like the building was marred with fire. The news is just an exaggeration. Even the wood on the walls of the building retain their original colour.
