Moonis Elahi and Elder Khosa Clash
By Shayan Khan • Jun 20th, 2009 • Category: Politics • No ResponsesIt was pretty mush amusing to watchout Moonis Elahi, the son of former Punjab chief minister Pervaiz Elahi clashing with the Zulfikar Khosa in the Punjab Assembly. Chaudhry Moonis Elahi of the PML-Q and Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa of the PML-N exchanged heated words during the PA session. Tension was diffused when Deputy Speaker Rana Mashood Ahmed Khan intervened and asked both sides to calm down and pay attention towards the budget session.
Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa is a feudal like the Moonis Elahi, but much senior than him. Moonis is in the assembly for the first time, while Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa has returned to the assembly for the ninth consecutive time. Moonis and senior Khosa played a blame game with each other and the things soon became ugly with both PML(Q) and PML(N) camps pointing fingers at each other and making a fish market out of a assembly.
If we know Khosa right, then he is not going to forget the Moonis’s big mouth, and things could get sour for the junior Chaudhry.
