now that the Taliban and alqaeeda have almost been defeated they are using all sources of their to attract people towards this war. They say the Pakistan army is also non believers. Thye would now go any height to fight back because they know this is almost their end and as the nation as a whole has stood against this extremism they have brought on our land.

@4 Johann, I'm a great fan of Mr. Anil Dhirubhai Ambani. I think the Ambani family deserves all the luxuries, because they've earned their fortune. You shouldn't forget that such billionaires are the flag bearers of India in the world community.

Get ur facts right. Dont just balderdash, sweetheart!

Naxalism started as a movement against social ills by peasants of Naxalbari in West Wengal state of India in 1968. Hence the name "Naxalism".

Yes, today it has grown to an alarming proportion. it is because of social ills of the regions. Now it is being made as a political issue by the politicians.

In my personal view, using force will not yield desired results. We should concentrate on providing "roti, kapda, makan" to the disgruntled people of the affected regions. Development will wipe out Naxalism in a few yrs; use of force will not.

So, let us bother with our problems. And if at all u wish to comment, pls do it after knowing ur beans. Dont make anti india propaganda out of it.

Poor commentary on a live issue.

Mukesh Ambani is building a placial home costing $ 1 billion to house 6 of his family!!!!.Indian government is getting a dole $ 1 Billion from japan overseas development to fund eradication of slums in Mumbai by giving each family of 10 million 225 sq feet of living space. See the contrast

salute to the Pakistan army. It has been succeful in neautralizing the terrorists and the job is almost done. Now that the alqaeeda is being crushed badly they are taking the help of media to damage control. I think we all need to praise our nation army for doing such a marvelous job. We need to get rid of these extremists who kill children and women in the name of religion. Our religion is the most beautiful and our country the most beautiful land and these terrorists want to ruin it!

It would be too intricate for foreign/Pakistani observers to assess the inherent problems of India, more so for Pakistanis because they themselves do not understand their own country that much either.
I hope that the writer would keep tracking this Maoist problem closely in the future, so as to find that there would never be any military offensive against our inbred ultras as he has inferred in the writeup above.
However this is also not to say that we want to turn a blind eye towards the menace of Maoists, but they are our own people and would be handled by non-military options and political solutions.
Pakistani intelligentsia's/elite's oneupmanship competition with India has been the root cause of spreading disinformation about India's domestic problems. But this habit has rather brought Pakistan to a state where it stands today. It is amply clear that the experiment of 1947 has failed miserably, though we do not intend to reverse those decisions or challenge the sovereignty of that country.
Take care! God bless you!

One doesn't know what ignorance you are talking about! How to tackle the Maoist menace has been extensively debated among people and government across all media.

Your comparison of a probable military action against Naxals to that against *Sikhs* is laughable! Please stop looking at every problem from the lense of ethnicity. You will divide the world into thousand countries that way, and still not be peaceful, as is the state of affairs in pakistan.

And yes, military action against maoists has become necessary. We are prepared to correct whereever we have wronged them in the past, even if they do not lay down arms. But we cannot sit back and wait for the Moists to assume Talibani proportions. Pakistan can keep sitting on dynamites, we cannot.
