Do you expect this “Pakistani media” would tell you the truth and serves the interests of Islam and Pakistan? Shaukat Paracha, Asma Shirazi, Meher Bukhari, Saima Mohsin are some of the names that were in attendance, in a Drink & Dance party hosted by the US Ambassador to Pakistan, Anne W Patterson.
The above email with lots of pictures showing Meher, Asma, Saima and other journalists having intimate postures in front of camera. I don’t know whether they are real or fake, but if they are real than its really very sad.
It’s very sad, because these anchors become angels on cameras and bash politicians, government, and other people and then they do this?

OMG, I’m not sure about others but I can’t imagine that a lady like Asma Shirazi would participate in such parties.

Now I totally understand that indulgence in unislam practices is punishable and guess what.. we have already have the best mechanism set for that …. the name of the mechanism? Allah and Qiamat!
So why not leave the judgement and appropriate punishment to the Alpha and the Omega?
Why then indulge in this type of gossip about the private affairs of individuals…
Yes, if they drank and got their jiggy on with annie and the blackwater crew, its bad, in opinion but thats just my opinion. Its private, just like them partying it up was a private affair…. however writing about it and making it a media event … tabloid-izing it, is whats making it public …. in a sense then you are becoming a part of the vice by gossiping about it …
We tend to make an issue when there is none and then to make it dramatic we bring Islam into it. It is because of these kinds of useless gossip that the most liberal and peaceful religions of all times looks just the opposite these days.
Without justifying their acts, what they did was their private acts and no one has any right to poke into any persons private business ( I hope you do know at least this much about Islam) . They are not killing,stealing or lying to the public, it is a private act of a private individual who is only answerable to God so unless the criticism has come from god the almighty himself it stands no grounds.
The who are angry or public about this are the ones that have led us in this mess. For them Islam is more important to be in the EYES and NOT in the HEART. May god grant you the light, all I can tell you is to study the Quran with the purpose of understanding it and not for finding other peoples mistakes. As per Ghazalis perspective only and ONLY GOD knows who is following his true path a man can just try.
With all due respects to Mobashar:
When TV anchors are pulling legs of politicians on flimsy matters (like personal deeds) they should face the music they chose for. I know, its everybody’s right to pass life of their choice (so declared in Charter of Human Rights by United Nations) as long as it does not harm the society; but, charity begins at home. Are not we watching for hours “Zardari is house locked”, “Zardari is sacrificing goat every day” etc. What purpose does this serve to the national interest? When cheap comments are spelled on public platform, cheap remarks return. The moral advice that Mr. Mobashar is giving to common man is logical but alas, why does not the same apply on TV anchors? All chore problems of Pakistan being kept aside and only the mud slinging is not a healthy trend. Talking about Asma Shirazee, she appears in programs with so pious a stature, putting on scarf that camouflages every single hair of hers, as if only yesterday she performed Umrah or Hajj and when public gets news of the other side of face, they are bound to astound and react. A law applies to all.
I am perfectly fine if you criticize them on their actions alone WITHOUT bringing ISLAM into it. By using Islam in these little matters of life, in my opinion, is doing a great disservice to this great religion of mine which is very sacred and dear to me. At the same time it tells me the intellectual bankruptcy of the author ( with due respects) who could not present his argument without dragging the religion into it.
Could not agree more! Somehow one after the other an “issue” emerges and media hype is generated, we need to move on to other severe problems such as combating terrorism which poses a threat to the day to day affairs of the state.

Unless these illiterate mullahs of our understand that Islam and terrorism are not compatible with each other it is very difficult to explain to the majority who’s only source of information is the distorted vision of these illiterate mullahs.
And when some do try to explain like ” Mufti Muneeb” and others then they are bombarded against as anti Islam preachers. This tells us how much bankrupt our masses are about Islam. The glorification of the acts of violence by these bearded men of ours have been foretold by the Holy prophet (PBUH) himself, when he said that ” there will be those in majority who will know nothing about Islam and the scholars of Islam will keep quiet”.

Not me, Mubashar Saheb! I never ever bring ISLAM in logical debates. If you re-read my prevous post, the gist of the matter in previous post was a common idiom/proverb (whatever) “Two faces of Eve”. It is commonly used in sentences without attributing it to religious history. When a person assumes celebrity (public figure) that criticises and attacks politicians they should first keep clean their houses like politicians should keep, being public figure. Otherwise, dirts from every where would keep coming in their houses. I still have not lost great respect for Asma Shirazi, but other people - well five fingers are not the same. Like I said, if cheap analyses and cheap comments are made by TV anchors, cheaper comments are bound to return. By the way, what I mean when I say “cheap comments” is making decision or pointing out conclusion on an unconfirmed or unproven news. Every person has likes and dislikes. However, a TV anchor should remain unbiased as much as he/she could. But who cares any way, we all die alone.
As a national all we know is how to criticize others all the time.
What is important is how professional and hardworking journalists are, what they do in their personal life is their own personal matter.
Please people, learn to be tolerant and stop making a fuss about the personal lives of others

the main thng is that .. we pakistanis cant leave situation in witch we cOULD have sum benefits.. or we cant leave a chance of becoming famous or to earn money.. or where we we can increase our P.R..
The religion and petriotism and all that kind of strange and so called worhtless things comes second or third or dun knw on wot number in our priorities.. we can even sell ourself our our every thng for money and power..

You should not blame anyone,I accept that they should be carefull about such parties, But if you look very broad way, It’s their own life whatever they want they should do, it’s their personal life. The people like us, should not take part in anyone’s life. So please don’t behave like this. Secondly, One arab journalist take these snaps and in my opnion, as i am in Saudi Arabia Riyadh, if that guy come infront me, i will do ask him what’s you have inside your good kingdom what’s you have? you’r not even giving rights to simpler and honourable people who comes to your country for work. So please don’t make noise in our country. Go to hell with your kingdom, you are actually the not muslim but americans’s child.

These are the people who are keen to expose the personal life of others. They take the bad things of society and expose them to spread a sense of deprivation and tell others that they are doing this to make authorties attentive. But indeed they are just making money and spreading nonsense. They dame care about it. The Quran order muslims in Sura-e-Noor that muslim society donot spread and expose the bad things.
