Media Intellectuals
By The Pakistani Spectator • Dec 7th, 2008 • Category: Politics • 2 CommentsMany Pakistani intellectuals often write in news paper in much interesting way or speak in talk show on TV channels with much eloquence on many topic ,some of which can be , though, termed as of- repeated one However the views of most of them about these topics hardly carry some new thinking or idea.. Most of their arguments ,views , comments , analysis or suggested remedies etc are often idealistic bookish and of academic nature or of stereotype.
Very few come with original ideas and arguments The real worth of their intellect is tested when they are faced with such questions or issue on which the related materials are least available or it need original thinking or realistic logical and coherent and convincing arguments.It is a common experience of many readers that most of these intellectuals never answer back when they are asked with such questions through emails. Though academicians may not be knowing the answers of many problems as their job is simply learn and present it back in simpler way- However intellectuals can not be absolved easily as a true intellectuals are the ones who come with new and original ideas .
They are supposed, and justly, to be possessed with creativity and ingenuity and should never be allergic with tough and new questions as true intellectuals always welcome complicated and tough questions so to seek out its answers- And that is the job as well as dentity of true intellectuals.

Last night on i TV news channel mubasshar luqman created a horrific story that after rice conference there were seriously riots in st patrick college of India where two muslims boys were badly beaten to death by hindu boys..He also showed th movie that produced terrible effects with his emotional dialogues.As he was looking confidant and declared that now this movies is available on net.So Immediately I verified his report and another horrible picture is appeared.That incident were happened in 12 nov 2008 in two law colleges of India chennai and ahmdbekar between two student groups.I was really shocked that how he conducted a program that can incite serious consequences in hindu muslim areas.Till that time I am trying his number but still couldnt approach him for his wrong and deadly reporting.I am really ashamed of having such people on important seat of our media as anchor person.
All of us know descent of standards in various sectors of our society. Media is no exception.
The electronic media undoubtedly carries glamour and it is surely alacritious insofaras news breaking is concerned. But for the views, the developed world regresses to printed media; newspapers and magazines. USA has more than 50 news channels even then many of its newspapers have circulation of more than 5 million.
In days to come, the people of Pakistan will start feeling the difference between the quality of two medium.
