Maulana Abdul Aziz of Lal Masjid: Keep Low Profile Plz

By Mohsin Sehgal • Apr 16th, 2009 • Category: Politics • 12 Comments

Maulana Abdul Aziz has  been freed from the Adyala Jail, Rawalpindi and he has arrived in Islamabad and he is scheduled to deliver Friday Prayer sermon tomorrow at the Lal Masjid. He was arrested from outside Lal Masjid on 7th July, 2007 after a very unfortunate and bloody episode, whose aftershocks are still being felt in the country.

Now a very heavy onus lies upon the Lal Masjid cleric Maulana Abdul Aziz. He would do well to disappear from the scene and he should keep the tempers and sentiments cool and unaggressive. He should hand the control of the Mosque to the current Khatib of Lal Masjid, Maulana Abdul Ghafar and he should adopt a very low and anonymous profile.

He should have mercy on Islamabad and Pakistan and should understand that violence and force is not going to service Islam and Pakistan and would only provide enemies another chance to strike at us.

  1. Am surprised at our media who is glorifying a person who maligned the image of Islam by creating a “Burqa-brigade’ which took law into their hand. This was the same brigade that unlawfully captured a public library, kidnapped policemen and also the Chinese which couldve cost us immensly on the diplomatic front. I dont want to comment wether the Lal Masjid operation was right or wrong but it certainly doesnt make an unlawful thing lawful!

you would be more shocked to hear that he and his late brother were our govt paid mullahs who are running their religious school under govt funds provided to him since the tenure of zia ul haq.He was two times restricted by our police officers for carrying arms and illegal cars but you know who had come to save him and his team was our popular religious ex minster Ijaz ul haq the son of late zia ulhaq father of terrorists in our land.So now you should understand that how deeply these characters are penetrated in our ruling mafia and working as touts. He is surely bring out for creating some mess.Zardari surely has brought some new deadly package from his latest dubai trip.
Another thing how he got bail from supreme court as for last one and half year our govt couldnt produce a valid charge against him in front of courts and supreme court has no way to stop him is his confinement He was not in adiyal jail but living in luxurious villa of a bahria town phase 7 in islamabad.Through out his confinement he was regularly visited by army personals .

  3. Here the news as virtual reality;……… of talibanic arrival in Islamabad…………. now its becoming clear as glare ;what globe and people are predicting …………we must not take this issue of predicted versions as perhaps airy since……… seemingly things are going in a real direction of predictions ……….. as per variant floated ideas around the word, therefore as forecast ……. though I deliberately reserve my comments as fear and never to happen idea as event………… but still I am very much anxious and embezzle since …………their meteorological forecast in extremes of weather is always up to mark. God bless our country.

  4. Indeed Musharaf did good with them, they were having their own government in a Masjid, I wonder what if there are many Maulanas like that and they open their separate governments in every town :)

  5. But, Nazia he (the chief terrorist mullah Aziz) has been released under a court order on some kind of ‘bond’ or bail. Now, what does it have to do with President Zardari Sahab? I thought that you all were celebrating the free judiciary and return of a ‘perfect’ judicial system, what is it, is it not the case? Is the judiciary not free yet? Are you all suggesting that he is much too dangerous to be released and his being free almost guarantees heightened security risks? what is it - I am confused !

  6. Guys celebrate his release. Now he is going to help Taliban and other militant groups to take hold of Punjab. Enjoy.

really I feel very sorry about you that you are much better aware than me of rules of actions of judicairy as it only works on evidence,if anybody cant produce proper evidence against a criminal ,the court cant confine him under custody and will bail him under suspicion until solid proofs are submitted into courts. This maualana is not uncle of any judge in SC but our intelligence agencies under military people are not in mood of providing solid evidence against him so he was released. You know very well that the judges who granted bails to people caught in lal masjid incidents were the first who took no time to come under new pco under musaharf emergency in Nov 2009.They were granted senior positions with all perks by our COAS.
Now you didnt read my lines where I critically mentioned his confinement in Bahria town under federal and malik raiz’s private security system.Who is malik riaz an icon of land mafia who has deep rooted links with generals especially under musharf’s regime and it was musharf’s wife who during his service in army was projected by this man as chairperson of Bahria town in UK/US circle. The cars who usually seen to this guest house couldnt recognised as mostly have private number plates on it but black BMW squad of brig ijaz shah retd IB chief was obvious during his stay in the safe area of one of closest friend of zardari too.

  8. Nazia, listen, when I ask such seemingly ‘naive’ questions, I am honestly not trying to riddicule you at all, please do forgive me if I might appear to be directing my questions to you. What makes me wonder, laudly, is simply this, how come when case of a high profile criminal like this terrorist Aziz comes to a court of law then suddenly all these nicer requirements of legal system come into play and the need for hard evidence and witness etc. etc. but when some petty, helpless thief lands in police custody he may rot in jails for years and years. I don’t care who Malik Riaz or Ijaz Shah is and what role they are playing in protecting this enemy of Pakistan the terrorist Aziz, I don’t care if Ejaz ul Haq secured release of these two gangsters in the past. All I am complaining about is action of this ‘free’ judiciary that, which is even more empowered by solid support of the people of Pakistan, has not summoned all these characters and put them in there place. Tell me are these people more powerful than the State and all its organs. Come on, this man had planned and executed a pitched battle against the State infront of the whole world and their acts were played on media again and again and again ad nauseam. In my view his this mutinous act has hurt our colective will and strength and encoraged the other terrorists like these Talibans to dare us so daringly. This terrorist , with the help of his gangs in that place known as a mosque, has created or attempted to create a division in the nation, he has erroded our unity. He can not be let loose, he must be punished.

yours idea usually float under centripetal force that is tending you to focus only on one point.Judiciary need evidence and evidence should be produced from victims or from authorized personals of state to save all criminal records on paper after the arrest of culprits or keeping him in detention.Free judiciary means follow the law without hearing anything from outside world and deliver justice under the evidences provided to them .
Here I again give you example of two of most popular cases of USA in 1995 and in 1996.One is murder trial of JJ simpson US famous footballer who had come under law in suspicion of murder of his wife and second was child molestation case of micheal jackson. These cases were remain on top of media for many months on US TV channels.People were quite confirmed that both famous personalities did this crime but due to lack of evidences and pouring of money from richest icons of US court had given different verdict against the wishes and calculation of people. So if Americans who possess one of strong judiciary system of the world can not cross this hurdle of visible proofs provided by accused or state machinery then how our newly freed SC can transit this step.if you real worried about the escalation of terrorism in this side then you should look the characters who are real protectors of these groups ,Do you think that the die hards whom are not controlled by our highly equipped army and the foxy politicians can be barred by some harmless judges by using the power of pen and paper at this initial stage of their strengthening process.

  10. Its amazing how far from reality was nazia’s comment. just that little knowledge is dangerous! (comment #2 in line). No further comments!

for verification of comment 2 you have to take some pain and will come to Margalla police station and police station at F8/3.here try to sort out cases or charges against these govt paid clerics accused by locals and some honest police officers. It is not a long time ago just see their FIR cases at the time when Ijaz ul haq was our minister of religious affairs. In these files you would surely find who and how our ruling groups had come forward on one phone call from these beard breeds and police men had to free them without any objection. You have full right to criticize on my little knowledge but with proofs only .thanks for informing me that little knowledge is very very dangerous.

  12. Anyone know that what was the reality of Lal Masjid and Musharaf or America???
We should blaim on moluna or musharaf.
