Marroitt Hotel Bombings - Guards and Usherers Families
By Rana • Feb 26th, 2009 • Category: Politics • One ResponseOn a recent trip to Islamabad, I had the head of the security guards there get me the contact details of all widows and orphans of the security guards and usherers of the Marriott Hotel who perished at the blast last September.
As is, security guards are one of the most deserving people for our Sadqas, Khairat and Zakats as they live on meagre incomes which are truly hard-earned with no possiblity of kickbacks or bribes. The ones who met untimely death have left behind helpless widows and orphans.
Attached are these lists with the names, telephone numbers and bank account details of these poor people. I urge you to contact them directly, visit them, transfer cash to these or any other accounts they may tell you. I’d suggest the best would be to take direct ownership of getting a few children educated at any of the better schools nearby or funding the wedding of any of the orphaned girls. This is the best Sadqa-e-Jaria of which Jaza we would keep enjoying in our graves, if Allah accepts.
Should you feel right to establish a sinking fund, shcolarships or construction loans in a more formal manner, I’d be glad to assist in any way possible.
