Saudi Mufti: Saudi Men Need Permit To Marry Foreign Women
Senior Saudi cleric Abd Al-Muhsin Al-’Abikan has issued a fatwa banning Saudi citizens from marrying women who are not residents of the kingdom without obtaining a permit from the authorities.
He stated that marrying foreign women is for pleasure purposes only, and that when this is done without official permission, it harms the ruler’s authority.

Everyone found my post offensive. My blood used to boil when AID afflicted Saudi old men used to land up in Indian Hyderabad to get Indian virgins for marriage.
There was some hue and cry from some Indian media chaps. Then one Lady social activist said that the Saudi guys were paying nearly 2 lakhs for the Indian virgins while Indian males only
pay rupees 5000/-.I got her point. When some of those 12/13 year olds were shown, i felt bad but i have to accept the humiliation because my nation is poor and
I have citizens who are ready to sell as some educated sell themselves for green card. But the above FATWA is something which gives religious sanction.
Can it be true? Can Governments of South asia do something about this even though we may be comparatively poor? The maximum number of overseas Pakistanies live
in Saudi arabia and earn their living.(nearly 10 lakhs).
I can understand Men having pleasure outside marriage but marriage for pleasure with Fatwa to back it is rather unique.
