Live and Let Live, Mr President and Mr. CJP
By Ali Yar Khan • Jan 21st, 2010 • Category: Politics • 2 CommentsThe hapless people of Pakistan cannot afford yet another confrontation between the pillars of the state. Undoubtly this is all due to the former dictator and our flawed political system, but then this is formative phase which has to be passed with great caution and patience and things will filter out automatically. But at this time, when the whole nation is suffering from all kinds of problems, there is no room for clash of institutions.
It is the duty of the government to implement the verdict of Supreme Court in letter and in spirit. The Supreme Court’s detailed judgement on NRO is nothing new and strange and it was what expected and according to the logic. Nobody could support corruption immunity, and even government didn’t defend the NRO. Government is not obeying the short or long order of supreme courts and they haven’t rectified the hierarchy of NAB including chairman, prosecutor general and the deputy prosecutor general.
Nobody can understand as why president is digging is own ditch and why he is hell bent on destroying his party and the democracy. CJP is doing his duty but he should not invite army to implement its orders. Public and media pressure will compel government to bow in front of SC.

Mr. Zardari & Co. is group of bloody shysters who will not do any thing good for this country.
I personally think this whole system should go including the Saint Shahbaz Sharif with his brother both of whom ran away from the country and landed only once our dearest president took off from Lahore. Sharif Brothers always come up with medical excuses to runaway, if they are so medically unfit they should let somebody else (who is medically fit) from there party to run the province.
Sadly the businessmen and common people of Punjab specially from lahore are facing lot of hardships and history is repeating itself when Shahbaz Sharif was the CM in 1996 to 1999. Tearing down the buildings is one example while many countries build sky scrappers to modernize cities but here we should bring them down. The administrators who are civil servants have started sealing people’s businesses in the middle of night on one ground or the other without even providing notifications. People are running from pillar to post but all fingers are pointed towards the Khaadim E Alaa. Our Khaadim e Alaa is on a government funded (Accountability anyone) foreign tour for last 2 weeks.
The beauty of democracy is that these people need votes and surely the power base of Sharif brothers will pay them back in same coin. All of us will find them gone back to to there homeland (Jeddah, London) once there rule falls in Punjab. People of Punjab are paying the price for choosing an incompetent leadership. Who will they blame now Musharraf for depriving people of there living. Sharif brothers should get there act straighten out if they want to save themselves from a humiliating defeat in Punjab.
