The Pakistani Spectator

The checking of vehicle at  check points near  dare Adam khel ( Peshawar Kohat  Road is  no doubt an  indispensable arrangement  for the sake  of security  and prevention of  terrorism.  However it is often observed  that  some security personal ( both from Army and FC) are so offensive  and humiliating in their dealing and  behavior with the common and  harmless  passengers which defiantly create  ill feeling among the passengers. Even many, well educated  and  government  employs  have been  subjected to humiliation  both verbally and physically.

I personally observed such an incident  on 13 July where a very well decent and high government official  who was  traveling in the  same  coach was  humiliated by the  security  personal  just  for a minor  and polite  protest over  the extremely  abusive  behavior of  FC security personals  to another co passenger ( a Pakistani  Sick citizen ) in the coach. The coach driver told  that  that  it is normal  at this  check post  daily  several such innocent passengers  are  harnessed and  humiliated  daily  basis by these security personals.

On such  situation a  normal and sensitive  mind does think that what  sort of impression and  reaction  this  type of attitude  will create regarding the  Army  insinuation  due  to  the  callous  behavior of their security personals?. Could  these personals be  not taught and instructed that peaceful and common  passengers be  dealt politely? The state of mind of such persons can  be  well  imagined by any normal  mind, who are  openly  humiliated, dragged and physically slipped even  for totally  minor  reason or  mistake ? Hope  the high official of both the  Army and Frontier constabulary  will take  notice  of it . Other wise  many Gentle (Sheriff) citizens  will continue  to  be  humiliated   and  their   egos  be  hurtled at the  hands  of such  crazy  security personals.
