By Farid Masood • Feb 18th, 2008 • Category: Pakistan Vote'08, Politics • No Responses

In every elections held in Pakistan, we hearing the shouts of rigging in polling process. Yes rigging was there, always there. Sometimes by the care taker government and sometimes by ‘Sombody’. But the results were never beyond expectations. In 1970s we did not honored the leading party and Pakistan was split into two pieces.

In 1985 non-party elections made the way as desired. In 1988 PPP got the lead, authorities planned that PPP government should not come in power again and votes were polled to IJI. And the practice remained in since 2002 Elections in which we have see a government by the party replacing ‘N’ with ‘Q’ in the title of PML( ). The results of in-competencies are there.

Today is the day of 19th General Elections in Pakistan. As we heard General Musharraf saying that PML(Q) will win the elections. The signs are otherwise. The chances of rigging are there. Let see who rig the polls, The government or the Nation?
