This is considered to be a criminal response of the Land Mafia, to the stern action, that Karachi’s City Government has been taking against the land grabbers. As of last night, around 19 people have been martyred in this spate of violence, about 14 of them, workers of MQM.
A very heartening appeal for peace was made by MQM Quaid Altaf Hussain. He appealed to all the people of Karachi, belonging to all ethnicities and all classes to remain calm and to assist the law enforcement agencies in hunting down the terrorists. And there are reports that after this appeal for peace, the situation considerably improved as the people have actively started to help police and rangers in hunting down the culprits. This is the quality of leadership. Which other political leader made such a prompt appeal for peace? Altaf Hussain Bhai may be 10,000 miles away from his dear homeland and his people, yet, he shares the pain and sorrow of his people. He leads them by example. This is why people love him and listen to him so carefully. Altaf Bhai’s exile is not his own choice. He yearns for the day when we will return to his dear homeland. However, it is the people, the poor people, who always beg Altaf Hussain Bhai to stay abroad in exile, because the people want safety their respected Quaid, at a safe location, so that he can effectively work and lead the struggle for the rights and welfare of the poor people, the middle classes. This is how the poor people love and respect their leader. This is the quality of leadership. And this devoted leadership has inspired so many youngsters from among the unprivileged middle classe people of Pakistan to come forth and serve their people with the same zeal. It is noteworthy that Mr. Kamal belongs to a poor family and Altaf Hussain Bhai only nominated him as candidate for Nazim’s election because of his talent and strong motivation to serve the people. Syed Mustafa Kamal didn’t even have money to buy a decent suit. So when he went to London to attend MQM meeting, Altaf Hussain Bhai took him for shopping and bought him new clothes. And look how well Syed Mustafa Kamal is serving Karachi and its people. Karachi has never seen such massive development in the past 100 years, that it is witnessing under the able City Government leadership of MQM. This is what is called selfless service.
Everyone knows that most political parties like PPP, PML-N, Moulana Parties etc etc are parties run by feudal landlords, business tycoons and billionaires. PML-N’s Sharif Mians are billionaires….and yet, what have they done for the people? And here is MQM…a party of poor middle class people, run by the poor middle class people, that works for the middle class people. MQM is not run by billionaires, yet it is doing poor people, service of such great magnitude that there is no instance of any other party being able to do that in our national history. This is why the poor, unprivileged people of Pakistan not only deeply respect, but vehemently adore MQM and their great Quaid Altaf Hussain!

-Benazir survived an assassination attempt in Oct 07 did she run away?
-Nawaz Sharif survived an assassination attempt when he was PM and threats to his life on the day of the long march, did he run away or cancelled his paln for long march?

Firstly I have provided the link of the Dawn News story about Syed Mustafa Kamal, being declared as the 2nd Best Mayor in the World. It is indeed an honour for our country, our nation. So why are you so incensed on this?
Whatever you may say, the truth is that Altaf Hussain Bhai and the MQM are supported by Millions of poor, middle class people. Whether you like it, or not, this is the reality.
Come to your ‘Sharif Mians’ of Lahore. What really are they doing for the poor, other than looting and plundering the resources of Punjab province?
What good have your Wadera (feudal landlord) politicians of rural Sindh done for the common man, other than lootiing state resources? They don’t even allow schools to be opened in their rural constituencies.
People love Altaf Hussain Bhai…and his support is growing day by day. Insha Allah, a day will come when MQM shall become the most popular party, instead of being the third most popular party.

i can still remember when i first went to Karachi 20 years ago and today its a world apart,
but the point is there is no such ranking for the mayors in the magazine, MQM is just using it to get attention……..

What good has Justice Iftikar Chaudhry done to the nation after his much cried about ‘Second Coming’? The only thing Iftikar Chaudry has done after restoration is the release of Notorious Terrorist-Cleric Moulvi Abdul Aziz responsible for the Lal Masjid incident.
By releasing dangerous Terrorists like Moulvi Abdul Aziz, CJ Iftikar Chaudhry is directly challenging the writ of the State. This is why Pres Musharraf dismissed this judge back in 2007. This is why Pres Musharraf had to impose emergency, because CJ Chaudry had at that time started meddling in the Government’s Affairs of Internal Security. At that time too, CJ Chaudry started freeing dangerous terrorists and criminals from jails, thereby destabilising the country. This was one of the reasons cited by President Musharraf to impose emergency in November 2007.
By the way extremists and terrorists love CJ Chaudry, especially after his ‘Second Coming’!

this means that dawn reporters have noy seen or verified this news themselves but giving a ststement as it was in the press release
this was of course issued by the Karachi City District Government of which Mustafa Kamal is head
so it is possible they might have given a wrong impression
