Lay Down or Stand Up

By Rohail Butt • Jun 28th, 2009 • Category: Politics • 5 Comments

Pakistan has two options: either to surrender before the terrorists or fight with them. We love our sovereignty and hence we have stood up against the terrorism. As the fight wages on, things are being exposed with leaving the mist vanished and facts cleared and now terrorists are bound to run from Swat, Dir and Buner.

Enough of the terrorism. The terrorists have been targeting innocent people and they have no link with Islam. Throughout the history of modern world, nobody has harmed Islam as these Taliban have done. Due to them, millions of Muslims have died and many countries have become debris. Due to these bloody and evil scrooge of Talibanization, Muslims have become pariah in the world. Every citizen having Pakistani passport were being considered as terrorists in the world. The terrorists have tarnished the image of Islam and Pakistan.

Our army is doing a comprehensive operation in the Malakand division and the whole nation is supporting them. This operation must be completed as soon as possible. The success of the operation will  not depend upon the number of Taliban killed, rather on the solidity of the writ of the government out there. People of Swat have also seen it and now they must cherish their peace and homes, and must not allow Taliban to retake their lives.

  1. my dear, i support and endorse your views, however it seems quite difficult to get rid of this menace,as hundrads of college and university students are in the training camps of boath the waziristans, trained
and motivated for the estableshment of an ISLAMIC STATE by all means, including JEHAD, (by use of
force) THESE GUNS WITH BRAINS WILL PLAY HAVIC in the recent future, and we may prove ducks
like the people of swat confronting taliban.

  2. We as a nation have concentrated and believe that the real enemies of Pakistan are the talibans and there is no second to it. That is a massive intoxication of morals and a pill I can’t take. Ability of VVIP personal to stop roads as they vamooze across the areas have killed more people than this war. Count the numerous ambulances that had patients die simply because they could not make it to the hospitals since VVIP traffic jammed the streets ? Are the politicians the real terrorists who have left this country in the state in which we are? Is the taliban not the frankenstien of the army itself? Did they not create it with US aid and now we are transgressing back ?

  3. Rohail Butt,

I totally agree with you view regaridng taliban and we have to fight with them. However i conflict regarding your trust on Army. The way the operation stretagy was build is very bad. Army is still failed properlly handle the operation.

  4. Nice words to which every one will agree, but Talibans are just a symptom of a disease and as long as the disease remains untreated there will be more symptoms. The so called “Tehrek-e-Taliban Pakistan” is nothing more then a terrorist out fit which have nothing to do with Resistance groups of Afghanistan, it has a sole purpose and that is to terrorize Pakistani masses into submission.
As this nation have ever learned any thing from its past mistakes, hence bound to repeat them. How many times will we be fooled by religious zealous agendas who use Islam to advance there agendas. It came as no surprise to me when I was reading a report on leading militant commanders. All of them had three things in common
1- From illiterate to Partially literate
2- Most of them have no religious education (wonder why they call themselves Qari and Mauliv)|
3- All of them belonged to poor families

Since they had no connection with religion yet they conveniently used religions name to propagate there nefarious agendas and fooled people. As long there is injustice in Pakistani society, we can bet such groups will keep on emerging. Such entities feed on injustice and since it is all too prevalent in our society, its plentiful.

  5. Curbing terrorist-sympathizers within our borders should be a top priority for our democratic government. Jamat Islami is known to have links with Taliban terrorists, and this extremist party is trying its best to create confusion among the masses regarding our war against terrorism. It is hight time that these traitors be put behind bars and tried for treason.
