Karachi Girls Asking for Easy Load on Mobile Numbers
By Amna Gilani • Sep 30th, 2009 • Category: Features • 45 CommentsWell, where in our society the girls are the victim, it would be prudent to note down that the girls are also extortionists in many cases. They indulge in obnoxious activities and that way cheat with the boys and as a result not only get burned by themselves but also put their parents and family in agony, as the victim boys normally take revenge.
One of the most rising trend in Pakistan is right now that many girls welcome the calls from the strangers who are the aspirants of friendship. These girls ask for mobile phone cards and the easy load of the mobile phone balanace and in return these girl talk with these boys or go on date to get a free meal. These girls also ask for the money, clothes and like to shop around. The more the easy loads and the cards, the more these girls go out and open up.
As a person drains out or ask for more favors from the girls in return of cards and easy loads, the girls dump the guy and start looking for another idiot. But the former idiot often doesn’t forget and forgive and many sad incidents have happened as a outcome. Some guys have kidnapped and raped the girls, some have thrown acid on the girls and some have simply told the family of the girls to the would be in-laws of the girls.
Parents should keep a strict vigil on the girls and I don’t see any reason why the school and college girls should have the mobile phones. Or if that is extremely necessary, then the parents should get a post paid package for their daughters and pay the bill themselves and keep eye on the mobile phone and Internet usage of the girls.

This scenario is not necessarily limited to the girls of karachi, i mean yes there is a very big possiblility that majority of girls are now resorting to these tactics just for the sake of having a little fun. i completely endorse this statement that parents should be keeping a check on their daughters and prevent their family name from shame and disgrace.
Amna,
I salute you.
Pakistan needs more people liike you who continue to put in splendid efforts in raising awareness and speaking out to protect our youth from ruining themselves and maintaining their ezaat.
However, a key question is - how do people get hold of girls numbers/numbers in general? Clearly, we need to make sure our phone networks are protecting our data rather than employees misusing it/selling it to the highest bidder.
haha yea keep saluting but this is hilarious.
hay jani
Gold diggers aren’t new(s).
@ Asad: Mind your language and read my articles before commenting. I am not saying that ALL girls or ALL boys are like that. But there are many and these are social ills we have to point out, because until and unless we don’t acknowledge them, how could we eradicate them?
Asad, I am amazed at you too. On this very website, there appear daily dozens of articles, but didn’t comment on them, and just on this one. So that shows your preference too. Dont be smug and self-righteous.
Different people highlight different issues. It’s my area of writing. If you don’t like it, don’t bother reading and read something else on this site or elsewhere. But then you have also your perversions it seems.
Pakistan is my country and its a free country and as a free citizen of a free country, I have every right to the freedom of speech.
I do read and comment on other blogs sweetheart.
Sorry have I hit the spot?
This post reminded me of this brilliant satire post by Karachi Khatmal- a LUMS graduate.
Just read it………….plz wait for the pictures to load.

ts an awesome post.
Read the Entire blog post …..its not only a Brilliant satire but also sends a STRONG SOCIAL message.
Asad,
On this website nobody knows you, nor can they see you or hear you. We rely on your posts.
And looking at your postings above and your language….you have lost all credibility. There is no need to be so foul and abusive. Take a breath and if you really believe your argument is better, then convince us all….don’t swear at us man…that’s totally uncalled for
Amna, well written and yes this trend is catching on and just because either parents are unaware of the new technologies or they are plain irresponsible
A problem with people these days is that they are mentally immature and weak. They are like little kids who don’t know how to handle frustration. An educated civilized mature smart person would know how to respond verbally in a well manner, not be abusive (physically or verbally).
We also have many people, and I have met them, who would rather ignore the truth and live in their delusion that Pakistan is a utopia where people are all good and nothing bad happens. The ills of the society continue because people choose to ignore them rather then address them.
well, amna u talk of parents controlling the daughters,i cant think of a girl doing this without the support of parents ,and u talk of Karachi Islamabad may still going above karachi i bet you.
iam diploma associat engineer in metallurgy from pakistan steel karachi.
Yaseen Ch,
How can parents support this rubbish? - Many of these situations can be very risky to the safety and welfare of a female. I think parents are too gullible and believe any nonsense these days (”I’m going out with friends…”).
In addition, they are too relaxed and are not cautious enough. Very irresponsible.
Where have all the good girls gone?
and
where have all the good boys gone?
We certainly are getting a spoiled young lot? Thanx to easy access to adult entertainment channels which are beaming the filth all over Pakistan.
The comments portion could have better turned to sort of something like collection of new ideas, conclusions and solutions, but Alas for finding mature readers busy in not unusual squabbling games.
Well, the issue being a malignant cause of our social and moral degradation need to be considered seriuosly by persons of all walks of life. It seems that we are left in the midst of today’s modern secular world and the Islamic version which is deemed as the basis of our state-pillars.
It’s time for us to wake and try improving ourselves by implementing an ethical foundations for our homes and comming generations or else we will end up struggling pathlessly.
Suchlike issues should not be marked trivial or unimportant but should be exposed to be counteracted decisively.
Thank you,
Fahim, I agree with you.
Hello Amna.
I just want you to clearify something for some us here, and that is are u against love (having a girlfriend or boyfriend). I mean that do you believe that Pakistan should be like Saudi Arabia with absolute segregation or do you beleieve everybody should have a freedom to love whoever they want to with consent from the other person. I don’t write english that well, so I hope i have gotten my message across.
