By Sher Ali • Dec 25th, 2009 • Category: Politics • 7 CommentsThe PPP leadership lashed out at the media at three different press conferences addressed in Karachi on Wednesday.
PPP MNA Gul Muhammad Jakhrani said at a press conference that some reporters and anchorpersons of Jang and Geo such as Kamran Khan, Shaheen Sehbai, Shahid Masood, Ansar Abbasi and Saleh Zaffir were the Israeli agents and they were assigned the task to create instability in Pakistan and pit the institutions of the country against one another so that the Israeli desire to keep Pakistan unstable might be fulfilled.
He said that it must be investigated how they were roaming about in Merecedes cars while there was even no donkey at their doorsteps. He appealed to the journalist organisations to hold them accountable as they were bringing a bad name to the profession of journalism.
Provincial Minister for Fisheries Zahid Hussain Bhurgari without naming the reporters and anchorpersons of The News, Jang and Geo criticised them and said that a section of the media was running a one-way traffic against the PPP as he was not in the know why they had malice against the party. He said that the PPP rendered countless sacrifices including Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto for the sake of democracy and stability of the country.
General Secretary PPP Karachi Saeed Ghani said that the issue of Asif Ali Zardari’s character assassination was raised in the PPP meeting held in Karachi on Wednesday which condemned a section of press, and termed it a conspiracy against the PPP government. Such elements were warned that they should cease to conspire against the democratic government and the president.

People know it very well that the above-mentioned senior journalists through their writings and programmes have unveiled corruption, price-hike and bad governance. Since the time when former dictator Pervez Musharraf attacked the judiciary, all these journalists have been struggling day and night for the establishment of a just system, restoration of democracy and the development of Pakistan. People remember that Pervez Musharraf had the same grievances against us and had levelled similar allegations.

The Pakistani Human or Civil Rights Activists Defenders Network did not say any thing similar to the “Oppressive” & “Intolerable” new media directives contravened the statutes under which Pakistan’s framed by federal Government was established in 2009 i.e. called the PEMRA Law. These champions are recognized as Ms. Asma Jehangir & Farzana Bari who always ready to hight pitch voice against Taliban or against Islamic Sharia Law but Mum right now.
“Pakistani Journalists have had their bitter share of human rights violations in their home country with numerous arrests, detention, killing & threats that forced a huge number of journalists to flee to abroad,” it said in a statement. “Any attempt to silence the media risks denying the public their rights to information which is not only a provision of the transitional federal charter but also several international instruments to which Pakistani Journalist Media-Men is signatory.”
Gul Mohammad Jakhrani & many others who are no doubt a hardcore Jiyalas in other words government had criticized some of the media coverage & images, describing them as biased as these above named journalists cum TV Anchors have been constantly indicating folded to unfold corruption stories of Jiyala & Co.
These sort of news were started since Zardari who always ready to show his Butees Dant – 32 Teeth — Plenty of Fruitless International Tours outlets, including CNN SKY & BBC, can talk about rallies against his Government in their live reports.

Every thing is for Sale of this Poor illitrate Nation of tribes. Wake up and work for your own country. Make Your Country and country men Intrest first.
Leadership is for sale and this is our big tragedy.Whole nation then follows this footstep of leadership.
These daring journalists are trying their best to transform this illiterate nation into logical and aware nation. So they are being hit by those corrupt leaders who don’t like this logical nation listening carefully to these journalists now.
PTV also airing 4 or 5 daily programs with such political discussion but I am sure none of its journalist or compare’s names are even known to common people. so people listen to those who get the trust of public through their dedication and fairness.
So whether they are Israeli or Indian agents, people stop to listen them and that is annoying our glib politicians whom are not found of interference in their non stop, senseless speeches.
Marry Christmas………………………………… Nazia ……….try to be fair with the nation. 45 minutes of those so called Journalist discussion does not do any good to the dying Nation. They need to discuss plans and proggrammes for future and how to improve upon it. Guide the Govt istead of criticizing 90% of the time with end less attack and counter attacks and creating a scene for a foreighner HOW we behave or how we discuss with loud voice.
I have not seen any programe with these REAL journalist which is civilize.
The media has every right to criticise the government but the way certain media persons are conducting themselves gives one the impression that they are out to destabilize the whole system.
@5
They are spreading live and reality culture in our limited system.
We are almost more than 55years fooled by PTV, Pak radio, ISPR and by some paid journalists.
They have breached all and give us different ideas.
In this flood of journalism, there might be some over flooding but it is better than scarcity of information which was put of our culture in last 55 years.
They just speak like us, feel like us and give variety of options to tackle the problems that are facing by common man.that is the reason now all multinational companies, banks and big shops have fixed Big TVs with big channels to keep in touch what is going around us.
Any how if you dont like them you have choice but I like them all due to there daring point of views and they move in our streets like common man with out any fear of establishement which always create harassment for all who speak aginst their wrong doings.
The sir name attached to me is also a Muslim name and never think that I am nazia david or nazia messiah like that any how best wishes for all days as merry flavor has been removed from our all ceremonies due to state terrorism daily occurring around us..
