Kaira Implicating Iftikhar Chaudhry with Shahbaz Sharif

By Ali Yar Khan • Jan 13th, 2010 • Category: Politics • 2 Comments

The media machinery of the government spewed out a news silently to the channels that the chief minister of Punjab has secretly met with the chief justice of supreme court Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry. Minister of Information Qammaruzzaman Kaira then went livid on the media and protested and asked CJP take notice of this news.

All the media sources and the independent sources are verifying that no such meeting has taken place. The common notion is that this is yet another effort on the part of presidential camp to malign the chief justice, because Shahbaz Sharif is one of the part in the NRO case, and the biggest threat for the government right now is the upcoming detailed judgement of supreme court on NRO case.

Instead of focussing on the alarming conditions in Karachi, rising tide of terrorism, unrest in Balochistan, ongoing operations in FATA, increasing poverty, shortages of jobs, power, gas, edible items and the all time low morale of the nation, the current regime and its acolytes are busy in hatching such childish stunts.
