Justifying the Unjustifable

By Ali Yar Khan • May 8th, 2008 • Category: Politics • 7 Comments

If history is any lesson than we know that what we get is what we settle for. The way constitution and the law has been mocked in the fatherland throughout all these sixty years by the uniformed and the civilian rulers, there was no trust and hope left in the masses about the judicial system. To add insult to the injury, judges themselves publicly admitted using Doctrine of Necessity.

Then from these judges, a man rose and said No. That No altered the course of history. But then the forces of status quo and darkness are so entrenched and inherent in our system that they seem to be succeeding in uprooting the plant of freedom and justice for now.

Some day we may look back at what has been done in our name to save our “developing” way of life and lament. The man who forcibly resides in the camp office thinks that Pakistanis don’t deserve the democracy and the justice. He has been rejected by the populace, but with the help of forces of status quo he still remains strong in his den.

Deposition of judges is a crime which should have the highest punishment. There simply is no justification for it. Not one hundred years ago and not now. It’s a sad wonder as even thenĀ  some find ways to justify the unjustifiable.

  1. “from these judges, a man rose and said No. That No altered the course of history “.
with due egard sir i do not agree on your self sighted opinion .the same judge was part of the PCO team since many years .he was similar oath holder like it was chief justice of sindh high court whose reference has been sent to supreme judicial council. if this chief justice starts agitation aginst musharraf ,it can not be taklen as credible .similar course was conducted by chief justice iftikhar as well. ‘.

  2. SIR ..WITH ALL DUE RESPECT … IS “DISPOSED” JUDGES THE ONLY ISSUE IN THIS COUNTRY ? .. WHAT ABOUT THE DREAMS OF THE COMMON MAN .. CREDITED (?) FOR HAVING VOTED FOR A CHANGE …. I THINK THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION FOR DEPRIVING THE COMMON MAN OF A DECENT LIFE . JUDGES OR NO JUDGES … THERE MISERIES WILL CONTINUE AND EVEN MULTIPLY … HOW SIR DO YOU JUSTIFY ALL THIS ? I PRAY THAT THE JUDGES WOULD REALIZE THAT THE “DOCTRINE OF NECCESITY” TODAY IS TO STOP THEIR UNNECCSSARY AGITATION .. RETIRE COMFORTABLY AND LET PAKISTAN MOVE ON ….

  3. Sir, COmmon man have enjoyed a lot in last 8 years. WHy you are worried and specially those, who are supporters of Mushi. After all Pakistan have taken hell of money from US ( more than 10billion US dollars for Army) and by selling missing people on high rates also. then economy growth was 8% annual… then as per Musharraf before 18 Feb… Aatay ka koi Masla Nahi hai,,, Hamaray haan prices other countries say kum hain,,, employement rate high ho chuka hai,,, her banda movbile use ker raha hai,,, her banday k pass CD70 bike aa chuki hai,,, her banda AC main so raha hai,,,,and lot more. YOu must believe on his speeches.

Why you are crying for common man when he is having all these facilities. after all President of Pakistan is saying and endorsing it. Please ask media to send you soft copies of those interviews…just 60/70 days back he gave on PTV’s specially. you will find reality that common man is happy… so lets do some thing else.

  4. Sir I do not want to get into this pointless debate. I believe in what I think is right and good for Pakistan. But you have not answered my question :
” IS JUDGES THE ONLY ISSUE IN THIS COUNTRY ?” or “THE PRIMARY ISSUE ?”

  5. Have I ever said that Judiciary has been left as Pakistan’s Issue. Yes it is primary issue up to some extent. I see every issue as primary issue for Pakistanis. They are inter linked with each other. But I also accepts that we are not gonna change this existing structure. It will remain like it. We will only crush those who will try to change it. No hope is here. Those who are sitting on seats have full stakes in the existing power structure.

How they can afford that an intelligent student from any village is standing with their son in any professional college, How they will digest, if one villager will be able to save his rights through police instead of knocking their doors and then begging for help and lot lot lot more.

Nothing is gonna change but its also clear that structure needs to be change before it will collapse.

  6. Sir, just leave this topic. We are not gonna change any thing. We will only fight and argue and things will remain at its actual position. This nation is divided and blind to start from one common point.

  7. Hm !
