It’s Official: I am not famous: Really
By Amna Gilani • Apr 20th, 2009 • Category: Misc • 11 CommentsWell, the abusing ones I can feel your pain. I can understand your desperation and I can empathize with what you are going through but that is what you face when you deny to admit and understand the obvious one and the defy the logic. I am continuing speaking out my mind through blogging and you are continuing hurling insults upon me through comments and the emails, but then it’s your right and then it’s my right to speak whatever I feel like.
I might have tried to go overboard sometimes, but given the emails I receive my overboarding seems tiny atom and that is what it is worth. Touching taboo topics is not what actually hurt you my dear, it’s that you don’t want to change. You simply want to stick to what it is there and you simply want to follow the stereotype.
But my dear ones, you do your’s and I will keep mine.

That is my dear called “BAYGHEARTY” in urdu.
No wonder people hate tablighi groups coz they are trying to change our society through the teachings of Islam, but our people hate changes. Miss Amna you are doing a Wise thing touching these taboo topics, coz someone has to take a step and i think you are making a difference. You have the right to express your views freely and that’s the right i am giving you as a reader.
Amna,
LOL…pun intended…
I believe the last sentence should be “But my dear ones, you do your’s and I will do mine.”
Amna darling, Go on…
comment no 1 is the answer……………..
The world is full of low-lives and whiners Amna. Pay no heed to them. People who know nothing more than just to bark will always bark, no matter what or to whom
Your writings are always welcomed on the blogging world… Keep up the good work.
I know what you are talking about because I’ve seen it happen so many times. They think the abuse and aggression they do is justified because of their disagreement.
This is for anyone and everyone who likes to send such messages to people. If you disagree with someone on something then talk about it in an intellectual manner. I have disagreed with her on some topics and I have even found some of her comments to be inline with culture instead of Islam but I didn’t abuse her (you can ask her) but pointed out what I thought was incorrect.
Your getting emotional and irrational makes you worse than what you think is so bad that they deserve to be cursed. If you are too emotionally and intellectually immature to react to someone you disagree with then you should not read such writings.
People need to grow up and learn to communicate with people properly. If you are not good at expressing yourself then get off the internet and meet people in person so your social skills improve, and read books.
Miss Gillani, this is appreciable that you can think out of the box and can express what you feel. It is really brave that in the society like ours which is still strongly shackled in the obsolete norms, culture and customs to say something like this. Though we claim that we are follower of Islam but truly speaking the version of the religion which we are following or which is about to take over this country are not the true Islam. Islam is a tolerant, progressive and a dynamic religion. We are afraid of change where as our own religion is the flag bearer of it. We are frightened to learn and to think where as Almighty Allah himself said in Quran “There are signals for those who have insight, so if there is someone who can think and understand”.
well said .. a person always expresses what lies in his/her mind …
I only wish for you to open your mind and see if some of the things you say are truly helping the cause you wish to champion. Some of the things you write are seriously anti-woman, but you are so muddled in patriarchal thinking you do not see that. I hurl not insults but insight.
