Is Mumbai Police a Hero ???
By Ali Yar Khan • Jan 2nd, 2009 • Category: Politics • 6 CommentsA very strange and sad thing happened in the South Asia. 26th November, 2008, 9:40 PM Mumbai hits the global headlines for being attacked by the terrorists openly firing at the Public. All what the Mumbai Police is interested in is catching people drunk and without proper traffic rules and that is only what the Police is capable of doing and ofcourse creating unnecessary hype around Pragya Thakur and low important (compared to Mumbai) Malegaon case.
All the Indian channels, especially the Star Plus and SONY are holding star-studded award shows in which they are inviting the police chiefs of Mumbai and other officials and calling them champions of bravery and courage. The truth was that they were hapless and helpless and looked utterly idiot in front of handful of terrorists, who hijacked the whole city and had their ruthless orgy of killing, while Mumbai police puked.
According to the Indian media the Minorities Affairs Minister AR Antulay was once a firebrand leader. But he has been quiet for long–too long; then he spoke and questioned directly Karkare’s killing in the Parliament. Antulay is a cabinet Minister; he is not known to speak out of line. Despite Abhishek Singhvi’s remark distancing the Congress from what Antulay said, the latter, it seems, definitely has the sanction of the Congress High Command at some level. Anyone supposing something else is deluding himself/herself.
That and there are so many loopholes in the Mumbai police stories related to the Mumbai attack. The truth is that the Mumbai police has failed miserably and it’s strange as how the Indian media is trying to portray as heroes. Incompetent they were, and incompetent they are.

Yes I agree with u mumbai police were incompetent to fight with there old guns and lathis against terrorist who were well trained and armed with Ak47 gun.
But I would like u to use ur wisdom to more important events.
Been the ‘Victim of terrorism’ why dont people like u understand from where these terrorist r coming from.Pakistans state policy of using terrorism to hurt India is gone out of control. Now the ‘nonstate actor’ r attacking Pakistan itself.We have suffered for long time. I hope Pakistan will take steps to remove this cancer or else they will fall into same the hole they have dug for India.

I agree Mumbai police top brass including Karkare and others showed lack of judgement about the terrorists and that is why they got killed due to underestimating the jehadies. But again it is lolwy constable Omble who took 30 bullets and got hold of Kasab and now the only live witness of an alqueda suicide operation anywhere in the world.
Has any General in your country lost anything for loosing East pakistan?or Kargil fiasco?
Has any general courtmartilled for the recent surrender of their 300 troops to Jehadies in FATA?

there is no need of creating hate culture on the basis of performance of police actions on each other,There is hardly a difference of performance of police in both countries or any third world country because of many common social factors and targeting specially Indian police only reflect yours prejudice attitude towards India.Hate and narrow mindedness will lead us toward destruction and thats why weak and corrupt leaders of both countries want to ignite this issue as much so that their crimes or mistakes could be buried under war situation.Come on open your heart and don’t adopt ways of extremist to show your hate toward your giant neighbor.

Very sorry to say that karkare was victim of target killing and that is only point where Indian govt cant escape from blame that inner factors are strongly involved in this bloody hooliganism.Aggressive and and extremly hostile response of media towards Pakistan without targeting US is again putting Indian
govt in suspicion.You have much more volatile matters/ sq km than us and covering up by blaming Pakistan and war are not the solutions to lessen this tension .

If you are thinking Indian police is not that good, what about Pakistani police are they good enough are they able to do all the things? Are they like superman and batman of the world?
No police force is strong enough to handle the situation that happened in Mumbai on 26th November. The only thing that can differentiate the Mumbai police is the courage they showed while the whole thing was happening.
They stood up and the moment of need and faced it. We have lost few of the most brave police officers, but still the moral of the force is high, on whatever the achievement they have made like capturing the lone surviving militant.
Is good to spread foul messages on people who you don’t even know? Is it what you are being taught at your schools? I guess are learned enough as you can write this blog.
Do some reading before saying such foul and bad words about anybody.

What Johann is trying to say is not that who played the bad game. All he is trying to say that we are victims of some bad activity that took place. India does not want war with Pakistan, it was a part of India once and they still look that part of the country.
