Is Kashmala Tariq Product of Bed Politics?
By Gul Raiz • Sep 18th, 2009 • Category: Politics • 60 CommentsIn the West it is quite common that some of the more ambitious ladies blatantly use thier beauty, looks and charms to rise above, but in the quite different Pakistani society and especially in the heavily male-dominated political horizon, women tends to remain on the sidelines. Either women cash in on the name of their family name, father or husband name, or they get selected on the special reserved seats for the women.
Many female got a chance to reach the parliament as former dictator Musharraf increased the women seats in assemblies by manifold. Sumaira Malik, Kashmala Tariq, Hina Rabbani Khar and many others appeared on the horizon with their share of fame. Almost all of them belonged to the King’s party, PML-Q and as the Musharraf went packing, these ladies also flew here and there to find new pillars.
Kashmala Tariq was known in Islamabad for quite a time and she was struggling to find her way to the power corridors and then she got her break through the Chaudhry Shujaat and Pervaiz Elahi and she became a very fast friend of former minister Humuyun Akhtar Khan, son of a general who died with former dictator General Zia in the plane crash. Kashmala developed her differences from the Chaudhries and she left Q league even before the Humuyun Akhtar but she remained loyal to the Musharraf and even toured the United States as his ambassador and defended him across the US.
There are many scandals circulating about Kashmala Tariq and about her background, though nothing conrete has materialized. Firdous Ashiq Awan, a very close aide of President Zardari has outbursted and has accused Kashmala that she used the beds of people to rise in the politics and she said that Kashmala hails from the heera mandi, the red light area of Lahore. Beautiful Kashmala Tariq went yellow, when Firdous made these accusations live in the T.V programs. Kashmala doesn’t look that type. What do you think?

If Kashmala hails from Heera Mandi then I must praise Heera Mandi for from producing far more better politicians then Loti Firdaus who doesn’t even know what to say in intellectual debates or clear Govt stance. At least Kashmala never indulged in adhominem cross fire. I would salute Heera Mandi management for doing great job for Pakistani politics, HM is better than feudal nursery of politics.

Whenever a good looking woman succeeds in her profession in Pakistan, she has to put up with these sort of allegations.
I think it is shameful what that minister said.
Politics in Pakistan has stooped to a new low today.
She is probably jealous of Kashmala’s looks.
And no wonder she says she didn’t start her politics in the bedroom, she is so ugly that I wouldn’t let her into my bedroom even if she paid me.

I think such post should not be allowed to be published. One may disagree with Kashmalla politics however it is not right to defame her. Many other women were also part of the previous govt but why Kashmalla is scandalised. Is it because that she is charming lady ?
Someone at TPS once said that in South Asia, the success in politics depends upon right womb or the right bed.
I am wondering how Firdous Ashiq has got so much in-depth information about red light areas. She also said that Kashmala was appearing in the tv show to increase her rate. Hmmm, the broad knows too much.
i am totally agreed with sha zaib. well the way miss minister F.A. Awan talked it clearly indicates the level she have. and i really admire the tollerance showed by Kashmala Tariq at that time. as far as the topic is concern i really do not think so cos as much as i know about her she was an active student politician during her time at university law college (Punjab University) and its some thing like trend that every one who has or about to make his way to success, have to bear all such trash talk. and yes we can not neglect the factor of jelousy by the side of Dr. Firdoss.

Gul Riaz, i respect what you usually right but you should be ashamed of yourself what you are wtiring here….i am not a fan of Kashmala Tariq but by accusing her (without any proof) to be from the redlight area you have dragged yourself to be at the same level as Mr. Aashiq Awan…..but i think you guys get some kick by doing that….shame on you !
i think Firdous awan dont deserve to be a Parliamentarian, she is from Sialkot and have no kids therefore people of her constituency feel passion for her, i have visited her constituency,its all villages of Sialkot.

Firdaus awan must be tried under the clause of. “deet” acoording to sharia law and must resign immediately as MNA

You should raise your own intellectual level a bit and write on those issues that have some credibility.
by accusing Kashmala Tariq, Firdous Awan only depicted that what class of company she keeps and where has she passed her life. But the point to ponder is that if this sort of obscene, vulgur and slang language is used by the people we have voted then what to expect from common people (i am sure that even common people dont use these words). Also if One wants to investigate about a Nation, one looks at the leaders. Then Firdous Awan, as a selected member of Assembley, has stamped the whole Pakistani Nation with the label of being ill mannered and vulgur and she must be tried in Court of Law. I am shocked that such an ordinary talking, ignorant and Jahil lady is Minister of our Paak Pakistan. MY ALLAH PLEASE BLESS US WITH NOBLE LEADERS AND SHOW US RIGHT PATH.
Blogging on every current issue should be backed up the careful analysis of the situation or the authenticity of the content. Gul Riaz you wrote “Kashmala doesn’t look that type. What do you think?” what on earth gives you the right about inviting opinion about any body’s character. You should post an apology on TPS. Minister F.A. Awan should also go for a public apology, Good heavens these are the conversation styles of our leaders. Live TV and its curses!
It is said that a person is judged by the dress and address. The way the Minister Firdous Ashiq Awan talked was absolutely uncultured and uncivilized. The words she used for Kashmala Tariq are not used even by the uncultured and illeterate people. I wonder whether she holds a degree of M.B.B.S. She must be tried for her unparliamentary and abusive language. On the other hand, Kashmala showed great patience and tolerance. I salute her. The Holy Quran say when JAHILOON speak to them, they say SALAAMA ( good bye). There couldnt be a better and more effective answer to vulgarity of Firdous Ashiq Awan than to keep silence.

The Prime Minister should take stern action against this Minister and her membership for National assembly should be cancelled.
