They are most certainly everywhere and disrupting the lives of citizens from every country. I suspect most americans feel Pakistan is the main hotbed mainly due to location. Just like many mid-east peoples who stereotype all americans as greedy, wealthy, know-it-alls who care nothing about the rest of the suffering world. Maybe if we all just as people without leaders communicate we'll better understand we all have common interests for the most part. We want our children to have good decent lives. We want food to feed them. We want jobs to fill our time and minds. Unfortunately there are many people in the world who could care less about us regular people. There are forces at work beyond the reach of any government leader to destroy any productive nation such as Pakistan or US. What they can't accomplish with bombs they will do their best to destroy through division and fear. Someone has to keep the arms industry flowing with cash. If everyone got along the big boys wouldn't make their big money. We are all controlled by a very few select group of scum from many varying countries working with only one aim-keep the guns flowing. Wars and dissension make money for these people. We citizens merely pay the price by burying our children before us.

Not Al Qaida but their violent ideology trying to be imposed in Pakistan via Taleban. We must not deny the existence of Al Qaeda.

@ # 2 & 3 :The Communist on March 25th, 2009 : Today is 25TH MARCH,………….what “famous” even (t) started today??? ring any bells??

Yaar! we are just to coward to remember that day of 'infamy', of course, bells do "ring" but we stuff our ears and refuse to hear and recognize where we went wrong. No wonder we are still in same kind of situation - exploiting eachother in the name of 'larger' or 'not so large' federating units of this 'unfortunate' Federation.

Brig,

The assumption that you made regarding Al Qaeda making only plots and not executing them, I guess is wrong. They are making the plots for terror attacks and the execution is done by other groups supporting them.

Also as Communist said don't alter statements made by others and show wrong picture to people.

The point of youth coming from other countries and turning into terrorist is wrong. You say that they are not given better life and all. Have you tried to look into their life. Some of the people who turn in this direction might be well placed and having good life. You quoted Foreign Policy magazine at the start of your article. Have you read articles on its site. They have put a story of some guy in England who was working in some organization was having a good life and he then got converted into a terrorist. In his case the better life option that you said was there with him but still he left it.

Brig, better life and other such points are not the things that change a person it is the way people make him believe what things are how they are. If a person can thing logically they would not enter into this mess.

You say people need to give them jobs, show them picture of better life and all. But when people start seeing everybody around them through religious eyes this is not possible. Many Mullahs and Maulanas give speeches saying that the war US and its allies are fighting is war against Islam. My question to them, Is this war really war against Islam or are they trying to put religion in between to attract ignorant and uneducated youth in to this mess?

Iraq, I am not sure why America started that war same is true with Afghanistan, but it is also to be noted that when Taliban refused to hand over Osama after 9/11 and supported him, they called for the things that happened to their country. I am not supporting America or its policy but things are to be treated and seen properly and understood with effects it can make on them and others.

In case of Pakistan, youth joining LeT and other such groups to become Mujahideen to join the war against America and also to create violence in India are from villages were they dont have proper education system, which is not helping them in getting good jobs and adequate money to sustain life with dignity and better living standard. Why is Pakistan not doing anything on this? Why even after 61 years of independence the level of education spread so less in Pakistan? Why NGO's are asked to leave SWAT? Why they are not allowing them to carry out civil and human rights work in the area?

Brig, if you have the answer to the questions I raised above please let me know.

In the mean time please read the link below.

First weapons of mass destruction was made an issue to destroy Iraq.
Then search of osama bin laden led western forces to ruin the depleted life of poor afghans.
Now razing of alqaeeda in our soil is an active slogan for bulldozing Pakistan' s infrastructure .
No body is asking US about whereabouts of osama bin laden and WMD after huge mass destruction but surely nodding on US future plans that are being taken us toward more havoc and chaos like situation.

A Simple question, 'When a piece of land becomes a jail for some one then what will he/she do? naturally try to flee to nearby peaceful place. This is the reason Pakistan is getting terrorists' created by US and UK in Afghan Jihad and afterward from Afghanistan. If, the near by country is USA then we would be witnessing drone attacks to catch them there.
