Interview with Blogger Sonal (Khushi)
By The Pakistani Spectator • Apr 29th, 2010 • Category: Interviews • 7 CommentsWould you please tell us something about you and your site?
1) I am a Home-maker from India. I am passionate about shayris, ghazals and poems (Mostly in Hindi and Gujarati). My site is all about my thoughts on love, life and general worldly affairs that I have penned down in the form of shayris and poems.
Do you feel that you continue to grow in your writing the longer you write? Why is that important to you?
2) Yes I do believe that with every thought and feeling that I have penned down, my clarity of thought and the urge to write more and more has grown. It is important to me because it helps me write better and better. It just gives me a happy feeling at the end of the day.
I’m wondering what some of your memorable experiences are with blogging?
3) There are many. But mostly it is the door of opportunities that keeps me hooked to blogging. It gives me great pleasure to share my poems and thoughts with other people around the world who appreciate my work. Blogging keeps me connected to them.
What do you do in order to keep up your communication with other bloggers?
4) I reply to the comments posted by them and keep myself updated with their work. Above all I keep in touch with everyone through social networking sites.
If you had to describe life as a blogger in a Twitter message (140 characters) what would you say?
5) Life as a blogger is a life with experiences, opportunities and a way of expressing what one thinks.
What do you think is the most exciting or most innovative use of technology in politics right now?
6) Hahahaha. Now that’s a very smart question. It has to be Twitter. Just when it creates a great impact on people , the second minute it creates controversies. Politicians sure know how the little birdy will do them good.J
Do you think that these new technologies are effective in making people more responsive?
7) I don’t know how effective it will be in long run, but it sure is generating a lot more responses now.
What do you think sets Your site apart from others?
The combination of words and a visual being used in all my poems and shayaris is one of a kind. I believe I was the first one to have an image for my thoughts and now few others have followed the trend. So what sets my site apart from others is my originality and purity of thoughts.
If you could choose one characteristic you have that brought you success in life, what would it be?
9) My Simplicity.
What was the happiest and gloomiest moment of your life?
10) My pen-name * KHUSHI * says it all. I have always lived my life in a happy bubble. All my gloomy moments have just come and gone.
If you could pick a travel destination, anywhere in the world, with no worries about how it’s paid for - what would your top 3 choices be?

What’s the first thing you notice about a person (whether you know them or not)?
13) Their expressions and body language. After all these things gives us a firsthand impression about a person.

14) Yes, one of my school teachers when I was just a school student. I took it as a challenge and won second prize in one of the essay competitions back then in school.
How bloggers can benefit from blogs financially?
15) Blogging helps one build strong networks and connections. So if you build good enough contacts I am sure there will be some financial benefits in future. Other than that there is Google Adsense.

What role can bloggers of the world play to make this world more friendlier and less hostile?
