Would you please tell us something about you and your site?
I’am an Eternal Optimist and Dreamer passionate about my motherland India..Almighty has bestowed me with a beautiful gift called ‘Freedom”.Freedom - “My wings to fly high to catch the dreams which dwells far away”.Well,i blog at Daughter’s Diary and Workings Of  Mind .These two sites reflects the 2 contrast nature inherent in me.Daughter’s Diary is an emotional one exclusively for poems.Workings of the mind carries serious issues…Politics, education, social issues,Teaching…..

Do you feel that you continue to grow in your writing the longer you write? Why is that important to you?

Yes!Very much!! I began my blogging journey in 2006..and the first post was a poem “MY Mom-My Friend”.When i wrote that poem,i was like a small wailing kid.Now i feel i have grown a bit..rather i am trying to grow with each and every new post. When i compare my older posts with that of newer  ones..i could feel the difference! A sea change!!Earlier i was a bit apprehensive to share or pen down my thoughts .Now i dare to pen down, whatever that comes to my mind.Since i’m considering to take up writing profession seriously,i feel i must grow.
I’m wondering what some of your memorable experiences are with blogging?
What else  other than this TPS Interview? :)
What do you do in order to keep up your communication with other bloggers?
I feel the comments section is one of the best platform to grasp each other’s mind.At times the comment section appears to be very vibrant and interesting than the post!Apart from replying to the feedback i get from the readers,i’m in touch with my fellow bloggers either through chat or mail.
What do you think is the most exciting or most innovative use of technology in politics right now?
Technology can create wonders. But technology is still at its infancy in many developing countries. It is yet to reach the  large masses who live in remote areas.Once it reaches the rural population,it is the best medium of communication which could produce better governance.Democracy and Developmental Politics should move in tandem. If the technologies are properly channelized, transparency can be ensured.Blogging is the one of the best medium that can be used for politics and governance.
Do you think that these new technologies are effective in making people more responsive?
Yes,it can make the people more responsive. The recent US presidential campaign is the best example in this regard.
What do you think sets Your site apart from others?
I wish to leave that question to my visitors/Readers
If you could choose one characteristic you have that brought you success in life, what would it be?
Well,A long way to go for success. Moreover success is just a journey not the final destination.Failures taught me how to come up in life.Even in the most darkest moments of my life,i never lose my Self Belief coupled with Optimism..That has helped me to overcome struggles.
What was the happiest and gloomiest moment of your life?
Let the gloomiest moments remain in loom forever..because i don’t want to make the readers gloomy by narrating the doom. Its not possible to single out a happiest moment..But yes, when i saw my article published in Tehelka ,my joy was boundless!
If you could pick a travel destination, anywhere in the world, with no worries about how it’s paid for - what would your top 3 choices be?
Uttaranchal and Himalayas
Andaman
Mauritius
What is your favorite book and why?
I’m not an avid reader of fiction.I prefer reading Biographies and essays of various scholars.Essays of Dr S Radhakrishnan are thought provoking and Biography of  C.Rajagopalachari is really worth reading.

What’s the first thing you notice about a person (whether you know them or not)?

Eyes and their Body language
Is there anyone from your past that once told you you couldn’t write?
Till now,no one has told me so.

How bloggers can benefit from blogs financially?

Google Adsense. But i am yet to explore on that  front.May be in future after learning the inside out of  Adsense and related sources,i wish to venture on that front too :)
Is it true that who has a successful blog has an awful lot of time on their hands?
Key to successful blogging is the optimum utilisation of the available time…be it an hour or few minutes. But those who wish to take up  writing profession,i would suggest to devote more time in blogosphere.
What role can bloggers of the world play to make this world more friendlier and less hostile?
Blogging is the best  platform for contributing to various social causes.During Mumbai terror attacks, almost all the blogs carried at least a para on the terror issue.Similarly the pink chaddi campaign gathered momentum through blogs. These are national issues.Likewise if bloggers starts penning down on various international issues, both readers and other bloggers will become more aware of the gravity of various issues. If once people starts uniting together for a  common cause at international level,i feel we can make the world a better place to live.
Who are your top five favourite bloggers?
I’m partial towards my pals…Anil sawan ,Cigin ,Deepa ,Karmanna ,Maheep ,Prasanth ,Srilakshmi ,Vinaya &Cathy .Hence its very difficult for me to pick top five favourite bloggers :)
Is there one observation or column or post that has gotten the most powerful reaction from people?
3 posts received wonderful response from my blogging pals.Aurevoir from a lost treasure,A curve that made me smile&Free Counselling
What is your perception about Pakistan and its people?
Here i would like to share my personal experience. My kindergarten kid’s best friend is Omar-A  Pakistani.Untill a couple of months ago, both of them used to share food and snacks. Now,they have started talking about visiting each other’s place in India and Pakistan.Their friendship has become the talk among the kindergarten teachers.Whenever i meet  the teacher, she will be delighted to narrate their story of friendship. Both of them hurt each other,Hug each other,Kiss each other. If the teacher makes them sit at two different places, they feel insecured.I was about to post their friendship stories in my site, but before that TPS stumbled upon my blog :)
“Child Is the Father Of Man”.Elders should learn the language of love from Children.Pakistan is a close Friend of India.Unfortunately some monsters are creating and fuelling unnecessary tensions between these two countries
Have you ever become stunned by the uniqueness of any blogger?
Each blogger is unique in his/her own way!

What is the most striking difference between a developed country and a developing country?

When a country is in a developing stage, the entire nation sticks to the common agenda of Development in totality. On the other hand, it will be difficult for a developed country to choose a common agenda since they have reached the peak of development on all spheres. So they cease to move forward.
What is the future of blogging?
Blogging has got a tremendous potential in the coming years. The cheapest or the cost free option for an ordinary person.Developing a website requires money..Since blogs are cost free, most of the people prefer blogs compared to websites.Blogging cuts across various age group..from school going kids to retired people. For the home makers,i would say blogging is the best option..to exhibit their art works, recipes and other hobbies. No doubt, one day or other all these efforts will benefit them financially.

You have also got a blogging life, how has it directly affected both your personal and professional life?

I won’t say that i have a blogging life!I would like to put it like this..’”Blogging has become a part of my life” Personally Blogging gifted me with wonderful friends. They too have become a part of my life!!On professional front, this hobby has fetched me a new opening..as a content editor. My poem appeared in Development Activism My write up got published in Tehelka .My article on teaching was published in Indian Express Website under the category Blogs.Sooner or later i’m planning to come up with a Book(a collection of poems authored by me)My blogging friends are very much enthusiastic about it and they are helping me to get the book published!

What are your future plans?

My dreams are my future plans. So many thoughts..But which one to pursue?I want to make my Dad proud!!Being an incessant dreamer,my plans are.To become a successful teacher…rather as a  Mentor for the students i teach! To write 2 books. One on Revamping the entire educational system.Another one collection of essays…highlighting the issues that needs immediate national level attention.I have been trained in Classical Music for eight years. Now i wish to revive my singing and also want to pursue Hindustani music as well. And lastly(but not the least)To set up a business enterprise(Hidden desire since my childhood ).

  1. i am proud of you as an Indian.

but i just DONT agree with your ‘developed country vs developing country’ answer.

Can u name any country which has developed so much that it needs no further development??

If such a country exist in this world then it will be called HEAVEN.

The point is every country has achieved different LEVELS OF DEVELOPMENT ……….some developed

    a bit more……..some a bit less……..but all of them DEVELOPING STILL……….

anyway, i loved all your remaining answers.

  2. I normally dont post comments but this was very intresting thank you..
